Horrific. No other word can explain what happened on last week's edition of Smackdown. Rob Van Dam suffered his first defeat at the hands of Randy Orton; the man who Rob exclaimed as the pinnacle of bordem, so to speak, but it backfired. Orton managed to connect with his RKO thus far getting the 3 count. Since that very day, since LAST Thursday, Rob has been disappointed, obviously. His undefeated streak stopped .. his confidence shattered, somewhat. This week a chance to redeem himself looms as a "most likely" prospect, one would say, when RVD will meet Jamie Noble in a Singles Match. The question is, will RVD's mind be set on the task at hand? Or will it be still dreading on the loss last week? There may not be any titles on the line but there IS a lot at stake believe it or not. RVD's face turns bright red as Patterson takes the approach of the one whom is intimidated.

Pat cracks a smile, almost out of relief. He slowly sits back in his chair although Van Dam proceeds with walking up and down.
