To see what these pieces would cost, I searched for "bulk" at the Lego Store.
The standard 2x4 brick is $6.99 for 50 pieces, or 14 cents each.
Since the ones I bought on eBay are used,
I think they're only worth about 1/3 of a brand new piece,
so a used 2x4 is worth 4 cents to me.
Not every piece was priced at the Lego store, so I determined the cost by what I would pay for them.
