Todd sat on the sand, staring out into the ocean, wondering what he was going to do.
He had a pad on his lap and was making a list of all the things he had to do as he decided them:
        - Get engagement ring for Liz.
        - Ask her father for her hand in marriage.
        - Propose to Liz on one knee.
The more Todd thought about it, the more he wanted to marry Elizabeth and accept responsibility for his actions. The real reason he wanted to marry her was that he couldn't imagine spending the rest of his life with anyone but her. He loved her with his heart and soul. Todd stood up, brushing the sand off his jeans and drove down to Sweet Valley. He spent the night at his parent's house, planning on visiting the Wakefields the next morning. He called them and they happily agreed to see him.
   The next afternoon, Todd walked quickly towards Elizabeth's dorm. Mr Wakefield gave him permission to marry Elizabeth, Todd has the engagement ring in his pocket, all he needed now was an answer from Elizabeth.
   Elizabeth rested in the chair, watching the TV, when there was a knock at the door.
"Come in" Elizabeth called. To her surprise, Todd appeared.
"Hi Sweetie" Todd exclaimed, he was smiling.
"Hi" Elizabeth said, quietly. Todd came over to the chair, looking deep into her eyes.
"Liz, Could I ask you something?" Todd requested. Elizabeth nodded. Todd got on his knee and slowly opened the velvet box. "Will you marry me?". Elizabeth gasped. Tears glistened in her eyes.
"Oh Todd" she cried "I will marry you, yes". Todd let out a 'whoop' and hugged her tightly, pressing a kiss on her lips.
"I'm going to make you happy Liz, I promise" Todd vowed. Elizabeth was now openly sobbing.
"Me too, I love you Todd" Todd hugged her tighter.
"I love you too, Liz" Todd answered, his voice choked with emotion. They hugged and kissed some more. Todd helped her stand up, sitting on the couch with her in his arms. Todd's fingers touched Elizabeth's belly tenderly.
"I still can't believe there's something alive inside you" Todd said in disbelief.
"I've got an ultrasound tomorrow, if you want to see for yourself?" Elizabeth offered.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world" Todd replied, pressing a kiss on her lips lingeringly. Tomorrow couldn't come fast enough for Todd and Elizabeth.
