"Liz, you walk so fast, will you slow down, I'm in heels" Jessica said, playfully. Elizabeth stopped and turned about.
"Well if you listen to me once and a while, you wouldn't have sore feet, Jessie dear" Elizabeth said in fake british accent, they both cracked up.
"Liz, I'm so glad you came home with me" Jessica exclaimed, squeezing her sisters' arm warmly. Elizabeth smiled.
"Me too, Jess" Elizabeth replied, looking into her eyes meaningfully. Jessica reached for her suitcase and retrieved it from the conveyor belt, just as Elizabeth did moments before.
"Everyone can't wait to see you" Jessica said, cheerfully.
"Like who?" Elizabeth asked, quietly.
"Like Nina, Denise, Neil, Winston....Todd" Jessica ticked off each name on her fingers.
"Todd knew I was gone?" Elizabeth asked, raising her eyebrows.
"Well, I sort of told him" Jessica confessed. Elizabeth shook her head and picked up her suitcase.
"C'mon, let's get a cab" Elizabeth told her twin. Jessica nodded and they headed out to the parking lot.
Todd laid back on the bed in his dorm staring at the ceiling, for weeks now, he missed Elizabeth. Ever since Jessica told him Elizabeth went to London, Todd felt like someone had kicked him in the stomach. He couldn't believe she left. Todd had helped Jessica and Steven pack up Elizabeth's stuff in the duplex. Todd remembered what he felt when he looked at Elizabeth's photo albums, all the good times they had together. That made him realise what Elizabeth really meant to him. Now all he had to do was tell her how he felt.
Elizabeth walked into Jessica's new RA dorm, seeing a surprise that her stuff was there too.
"Jess, what is going on?" Elizabeth asked. Elizabeth knew that Jessica had moved out of the duplex, but she didn't know that Jessica had moved her things into the RA dorm.
"We're going to be RA's together, isn't that fantastic?" Jessica squealed, hugging Elizabeth tightly. Elizabeth couldn't believe it.
"So, what exactly does an RA do?" Elizabeth asked, curiously.
"Give the freshman....I mean advisee's advice about stuff" Jessica told her. Elizabeth nodded.
"Okay, so when's the first meeting?" Elizabeth questioned. Jessica flopped on the bed.
"As soon as we catch some z's and get over this jetlag" Jessica replied with a yawn. Elizabeth laid on the other bed, taking off her shoes. She laid her head on the pillow and sleep enveloped her.
Neil walked into Yum Yum's to see Winston and Nina sitting on the sofa. Neil went over.
"Hey guys, what's up?" Neil asked, plopping down on the couch beside Nina. Winston was sitting in the armchair opposite it.
"We were debating about coffee, which one's better latte or decaf" Winston told him.
"Latte, definitely" Neil said, immediately. Nina nodded.
"See, told you" she said, triumphantly. Winston shrugged.
"Well, everyones tastes are different" Winston added. Neil laughed.
"Speaking of Latte, I'm going to order one" Neil said, heading over to the counter. Nina picked up her own and sipped it slowly, wondering if Elizabeth was back from London yet.
After a few hours sleep, Elizabeth got up and went for a walk to Yum Yum's. She saw Winston, Neil, Nina and Todd seated on the sofa and armchairs, chatting. Elizabeth went over to them.
"Liz" Nina squealed "You're back". Nina got up and hugged her best friend tightly.
"Hey Ni" Elizabeth said, warmly. "I missed you".
"Me too" Nina replied, pulling back, smiling at her. "Sit, Sit, tell us all about your time in London". Elizabeth sat down beside Todd, who smiled at her.
"Welcome back, Liz" Todd said, quickly. Elizabeth and Todd shared a warm hug. Elizabeth looked over at Neil and smiled at him. Neil smiled back. Elizabeth was surrounded by her friends. Elizabeth was home at last.
