Elizabeth Wakefield walked through the Varitronics offices towards her own corner one. She was a sales executive for Varitronics. Elizabeth remembered walking into Bert Wilkins' office for an intervew and being offered a position on the spot. But after hearing that Todd Wilkins, his son and Elizabeth's high school sweetheart was the new Vice-President and went on a date with Todd while he was a business trip from Vermont, Elizabeth had been thinking about Todd a lot lately. Elizabeth saw her secretary at her desk. Lucy Feruson had red hair and was short and friendly.
"Morning Lucy" Elizabeth greeted, stopping in front of her desk "Any messages?"
"Nope, just the usual" Lucy replied "Your mother and sister called".
"Okay" Elizabeth agreed. Elizabeth sorted through the messages and walked into her office. As soon as Elizabeth got in there, Lucy came in with her appointment schedule.
"You've got an executive meeting this morning, Mr Wilkins thought it would be nice to meet everybody" Lucy told her. Elizabeth smiled, straightening up her skirt.
"Oh well, I better get going upstairs" Elizabeth answered. Elizabeth picked up her folder and paperwork and walked out of the office, heading for the conference room.
Todd Wilkins went to the conference room and poured himself a cup of coffee. He breathed in a familiar scent.
"Good morning, Todd" A sweet voice exclaimed. Todd turned about to see his long-time love, Elizabeth Wakefield, who he hadn't seen since he was down on business from Vermont last time.
"Liz, it's great to see you again" Todd commented, pleased. Elizabeth came closer after placing onto the table. Todd pulled Elizabeth into his arms, hugging her tightly.
"Your father told me you were Vice-President" Elizabeth told him, nonchalantly. Todd nodded, taking in her appearance. She was still beautiful as she was when he dated her when he was down in Sweet Valley while he lived in Vermont except she had blossomed into a woman. A very vivacious woman.
"Coffee?" Todd asked, breaking from his reverie. "You look beautiful" he added silently.
"Sure, thank you" Elizabeth accepted, smiling gently. Todd melted under her gaze, drowning in her blue eyes. The other executives started to show up. Elizabeth sipped her coffee and sat down next to AJ Morgan. Todd watched them closely as they looked over some information. He flared with healousy, hoping that Elizabeth wasn't involved with anyone since the last time they were together before he went back to Vermont.
Elizabeth listened to what AJ was saying about the graph, but was consciously aware of Todd's warm coffee-coloured eyes upon her. She stared into Todd's eyes, noticing the chemistry that was still between them. Todd looked away and cleared his throat, standing up to start the meeting. Elizabeth listened intently to what Todd was saying, admiring his wholesome good looks. His thick, wavy brown hair, muscular body and liquid coffee-coloured eyes. Her heart thumped rapidly when they locked gaze, mesmerised by each other. The meeting continued for another 15 minutes until it was adjourned. Elizabeth gathered up her papers. Todd came over.
"Liz, I was wondering if you would like to join me for lunch?" Todd asked.
"That would be nice" Elizabeth answered, softly.
"Great, I'll come by your office then" Todd added.
"Okay, well I've got a client to attend to" Elizabeth replied. She planted a light kiss on his cheek and left. Todd watched as Elizabeth exited through the door.
"God, she's still got great legs" Todd silently noted. He mentally pictured what it was like to touch them. He shook his head, snapping himself out of it. Todd gathered up his paperwork and headed to his office.
