After they met the Vermont executives, A.J and Maria took them for a tour of the company. Todd and Elizabeth went upstairs to Bert's office.
"Liz, you look fabulous, even more beautiful than you were when I saw you last" Todd commented "Before you left for New York, what happened?"
"I didn't fit in" Elizabeth told him "No matter how hard I tried, I just didn't find my niche"
"That's a shame, Liz" Todd exclaimed. "But I'm glad you're back in Sweet Valley".
"Me too, but you're not here anymore" Elizabeth said, sadly.
"Actually, the main reason why I'm down here is because Dad wanted to talk about a transfer" Todd informed her. Elizabeth's eyes widened in surprise.
"Todd, that's great" Elizabeth answered, hugging him tightly.
"Liz, I would really love it if you would join me for dinner, to catch up?" Todd offered.
"Sure, I'd love that too" Elizabeth accepted.
"Okay, it's a date" Todd confirmed "How about I pick you up about 7?"
"Okay, here's my address" Elizabeth told him, handing him her business card. Todd glanced at the address on the back, recognising it.
"This is Winston's address, Liz" Todd exclaimed.
"That's right, I live with Winston, Denise and Alexandra" Elizabeth added. "We share a house together".
"You're kidding, that's great" Todd told her. They reached his father's office. "I'll see you at 7 then?"
"Yeah, see you then" Elizabeth agreed. She walked out and caught up with A.J and Maria. She couldn't wait until her date with Todd.
Elizabeth stood in front of the mirror that night, admiring her appearance. Alexandra and Denise came in.
"Liz, you look stunning" Denise teased "Must be some hot date"
"Actually it's with Todd" Elizabeth told them, picking up her purse.
"Liz, Todd's here" Winston yelled. Elizabeth left the room and went downstairs. Todd was standing there, chatting with Winston. Elizabeth silently swooned at the sight of him in his blue polo shirt and bone pleated chinos. His wavy brown hair was neatly combed back and he was wearing cologne that Elizabeth smelt was familiar. Todd's eyes laid upon her, his heart hammering in his chest, she looked beautiful in her floral blouse and black miniskirt. His eyes travelled down to her slim ankles, admiring how the straps sat gently on her calves.
"Hi Todd" Elizabeth said, softly, a smile curved gently on her heart-shaped face.
"Liz, wow, you look great" Todd exclaimed, grinning warmly. "Shall we go?". He offered her his arm. Elizabeth slid her arm through his, holding her purse with the other. Todd smiled back at Winston mischievously, winking at him once more before disappearing before the door, heading towards the car outside.
