Our names are Marina and Laetitia and we present you our house!!!
Our principal objective with our choice is to show you a different aspect of Switzerland. We want to prove you that Swiss people can really have fun and it is for this reason that we chose the Mad!!!
It is true that our house is a bit strange because it is not exactly a house but a big place where people can dance, relax, dream, with the help of every kind of music.
The MAD is a huge discotheque. It is located in Lausanne one of the most beautiful and biggest cities of Switzerland.
The building has 5 floors. Inside there is a large dance floor.
On the first floor, there are a bar, a restaurant, a cinema (the film are free!!!)
On the second floor there is a restaurant, it is practical because you can have your supper and then you can go directly to the disco.
And on the last one there is a room without tables, but only with sofas with comfortable cushions where you can have a break and meet people.
On the walls there are a lot of pictures and attractive colours!!!
It was founded in 1985( the same year as our birth!!!) by music fans and it still has more and more success year after year. The will of this fans was to make a place where people can meet whatever their age, their sexual orientation, their music tastes. It is a place where we can be another person more glamorous and crazy just for one night and it is important for everybody.
Within the space of a few year, the Mad has acquired a reputation across Europe thank to its miscellaneous style of music.
There are pop music, rock and roll, electronic music, jazz, techno.
There is something to suit all tastes!!!

M: How did you know the Mad?
D: One night I was with a friend and he told me that he wanted to go to Lausanne in this disco because he loves it.
M: What kind of feeling did you have when you saw this place for the first time?
D: I was astonished, it is a huge disco!!! It is impressive
M: How was your evening and your night?
D: beautiful really, there is an ambiance that you cannot find in the other discotheques, and the girls are beautiful(and the boys too), everybody enters in another world
M: What are the negative things?
D: I think, drinks are expensive but it is worth it!!!
