PETE  "FATS"  HENRY

    Some of the most outstanding honors bestowed
on Pete Henry were:
     1917 - Helms Foundation "Player of the Year";
1919 - Tackle on Walter Camp's All-America Team;
1921, 22, 23 - Tackle on all professiona league teams;
1928 - In "Heisman's Hundred in Hall of Football Fame",
selected by John W. Heisman; 1942 - Tackle on Helms
Foundation All-Time All America; 1949 - Admitted to
Helms Foundation College Football Hall of Fame; 1950 -
Tackle on Mid- Century All- America Team selected by
Collier's Magazine; 1951- Admitted to Helms Foundation
Professional Football Hall of Fame; Tackle on team
selected in Associated Press Poll by request of the
National Football Hall of Fame Committee; Admitted to
College Hall of Fame Shrine at Rutgers University.
     He also was placed on the All-Time All-America
Teams selected by such football notables as Grantland
Rice, Parke H. Davis, Walter Camp, Walter Eckersall,
Knute Rockne, Glenn Warner, John Heisman, Clark
Shaughnessy and Gilmour Dobie.
