Epilogue

     Harry, Melissa, and Sheila spent the rest of their summer at Mrs. Figs house.  Harry tried repeatedly to send letters to Ron, but they always came back to him with a notice that the receiver was either not there or did not wish to receive letters.  Sheila snuck out several times over the summer to see George and told Harry that she never saw Ron there.  When she asked Mrs. Weasley about him, she would only look away for a moment before hurriedly changing the subject.  Ginny said that Ron was still there, but didnt feel much like talking to anyone.

***

     As was mentioned before, Sheila snuck out to see George.  She was caught by the Muggle police once, but was very sneaky after the incident.  Mrs. Fig had several talks with her before finally giving up.  After all, Sheila will be Sheila.

***

     Melissa spent much of the first part of the summer locked away in her room, writing letters to Draco.  When asked what she was writing, she would only smile slyly and say, You dont wanna know.  A few weeks into the summer, she really did lock herself in her room for a few days, and whenever someone was to walk past, they could hear crying from the other side of the door.  Then, on the third day, she came out with a big smile on her face and explained what had happened.

***

     Dracos summer went pretty well for the first few weeks.  Since his father hadnt heard anything from his contact at Hogwarts for a while, he assumed that Draco had broken up with Melissa.  Little did he know, Draco was secretly sending letters to her.
     That was, until they slipped up.  One day Draco didnt get to his owl fast enough.  His father read the letter.  Lets take a look at what happened next.

~~~~
     I thought you said you took care of this! Lucius Malfoy roared.
     Father
     Dont you Father me, you ungrateful little
     Lucius, maybe Narcissa interrupted but was immediately struck down by her husband.
     Dont you ever speak to me in that tone, Lucius hissed.  Then, he turned back to Draco.  As for you, you have disobeyed me one too many times.  You should be grateful that I even kept you, as scrawny as you were.  Youre a disgrace to the name of Malfoy.
     But Father, I
     But nothing.  I have given you every chance to let thisgirl go, but you have decided to do this the hard way.  You think you can make your own decisions?  Ok, then well play adult.  You can start by finding a place to live.  Get out of my house.
     Father
     Im not your father anymore, Lucius said coldly.
     Draco looked at the floor, not saying anything more.  After a moment of tense silence, he walked over to where his mother stood.  Goodbye Mother, he whispered, hugging her.
     Draco, I dont know about this, she said, holding him at arms length.  Ill talk to your father
     No Mother, Draco said firmly, I dont want you to.  Ill be fine.  Dont worry about me.
     Narcissa thought about this for a moment before giving a small, painful smile.  Just be careful, she murmured.
     I will, Draco said and walked away, going up to his room.  He took very little with him, just his wand and the letters Melissa had sent to him over the summer.  The letters might not seem very useful, but they were important to Draco.
     After he was done gathering what little he would take, he went back downstairs and walked right past his father without a word.  Lucius Malfoy watched him go without the slightest feeling of remorse.  After all, this boy was no more than a stranger to him now.
*a few days later*
     Professor Wilson opened her door to find a boy standing on her porch, looking like he hadnt eaten in days.
     Im sorry, the boy said, wiping tears from his eyes.  I didnt have anywhere else to go.
~~~~

     Yes, Draco took the Knight Bus out of England.  Apparently, though the bus cannot take you anywhere underwater, it can still drive across it.  He did indeed show up at Professor Wilsons house days later, only to find out that Melissa had neglected to tell him that she was no longer staying with her.  Professor Wilson, being the wonderful person that she was, took pity on him and let him stay with her.

***

     Meanwhile, back at Malfoy Mansion, things werent going very well.  Narcissa Malfoy, depressed by the loss of her son, became very ill.  She died a couple weeks later.  Some say she starved herself to death, while others say she died of a broken heart.

***

     Draco learned of his mothers death from the Salems Secret newspaper and was furious.  The one thing that had kept him from speaking against his father was gone.  He told Professor Wilson about his fathers abuse of him and his mother and the case was brought to the Ministry.
     After only an hour of deliberation the council found Lucius Malfoy guilty and sentenced him to life in Azkaban.  That might seem like a lot to a Muggle, but child abuse in the wizarding world is considered to be just as bad, if not worse, than murder.
     As his mother and father were both gone, Draco was officially declared an orphan by the Ministry.  Upon hearing this, Professor Wilson immediately stepped up and offered to adopt him.  And so it became that Draco went to live in the United States.  Of course, he still went to Hogwarts.  Professor Wilson knew it was best not to separate Melissa and him.

***

     Fudge had decided that one year as Headmaster of Hogwarts was enough.  He appointed Elisabeth Wilson as the new Headmistress, as he believed her to be trustworthy and someone who didnt believe in all this rubbish about You-Know-Who.  She accepted and was soon sending letters to Albus Dumbledore for his opinion on how the school should be run.  Fudge, of course, never knew about this.

***

     Harry and the rest of the group had a relatively normal sixth year, as well as seventh.  Melissa and Sheila, of course, graduated one year before Harry, Draco, and Hermione, but not before Draco and Melissa had time to make an announcement.  Draco had proposed to Melissa.  They would be married the next year, right after Draco graduated.
     Then, in seventh year, Harry and Hermione had another surprise.  They were getting married, too!  It was decided that they would have a double wedding.  Sheila made the comment that she wanted a triple wedding, but George never had the guts to propose.  Ginny and Seamus announced their engagement the same year, but decided to wait at least a year to get married.

***

     The arrangements for the wedding were made early.  Invitations were sent out immediately.  Since Melissa didnt have a father, she sent an owl to Sirius, who was more than happy to walk her down the aisle.  Of course, he couldnt go as himself, so Albus Dumbledore gave him permission to use Polyjuice potion to disguise himself as him.
     As Draco didnt really have anyone to ask, he decided he wouldnt have a best man.  Harry asked Ron to be his best man in his invitation, but never got a reply back.  Sheila, Ginny, and Icicle were chosen to be the bridesmaids.
     And so, the double wedding was scheduled for the day after Harry, Hermione, and Draco graduated.  Lets drop in and listen in to a conversation before the wedding.

~~~~
     Hermione, are you sure about this?  Should we really go through with it? Melissa asked, giving up on untangling her veil from her hair.
     Melissa, youre braver than I am, Hermione said, coming over to help with the veil.  If youre going to get cold feet about this, then I definitely wont have the courage to go up there.  Do you really want me to leave your brother at the alter?
     Good point, Melissa smiled, but still, I mean, do you think Im rushing into this?
     Of course not, Hermione said promptly, finished fixing Melissas veil.  You love Draco, and he loves you.  Theres no arguing that.  Thats what being married is all about, knowing that youre going to spend the rest of your life with someone you care so deeply about.
     Melissa sighed.  Youre right.  I do love him.  What the hell, Ill do it.  Ill marry him.
     Whew, thats good, Hermione said, sounding relieved.  I really didnt want to have to leave Harry up there to look like an idiot.
     Okay, now that weve got that out of the way, Melissa said, taking a deep breath.  Lets get this over with so I can get to the airport.
     Whyre you going to the airport? Hermione asked.
     Well, Draco and I cant very well miss the plane to Hawaii, Melissa said.
     You get to go to Hawaii? Hermione said.  Not fair!  Harry and I have to honeymoon in London!
     What can I say? Melissa said, winking.  After his fathers trial, Draco was given all the money and property his father had owned.  In short, we have enough money to fly to and back from Hawaii fifty times, with change to spare.
     Hermione pouted, so Melissa added, Ill talk to Draco and get you some tickets, too.
     Hermione grinned.  Thanks.  Dont worry, Ill pay you back.
     No, dont worry about it, Melissa smiled.  Just happy to help out.
~~~~

     There was a huge turnout for the wedding, as everyone wanted to be there when The Boy Who Lived got married.  The only empty chairs were two that had been set aside with a sign across them reading, Reserved for Lily and James Potter.  No one sat in the chairs, though several people did stop at them for a while to speak to the spirits.  One woman swore that she saw Lily Potter in one of the chairs during the wedding, smiling and wiping her eyes.
     But there was another empty place that made the day seem slightly less than perfect.  Next to Harry, in the place of best man, there was no one.  Ron Weasley hadnt shown up.  When asked about him, the rest of the Weasleys wouldnt answer with more than a shrug or an Im sorry.
     And so, on the day of July 1st, 1998, in a day that would be told of in history books, the Boy Who Lived married a Muggle-born girl, and the Dragon of the Prophecies married his true love.
     After the reception, the couples went to the airport.  Melissa and Draco got on a plane to Hawaii but not before buying Harry and Hermione tickets to Paris.  Hermione insisted that Paris was the place to go, as she had been to France with her family many times before.
     As for the honeymoons, the details wont be listed here for the sake of the privacy of the couples.  All I will say is that, even though there were a few unexpected surprises, both couples had a good time.  A very good time.  Now, get your minds out of the gutters!

***

     During this time, however, the rest of the wizarding world was in turmoil.  As our favorite Hogwarts students finished their years at Hogwarts, the sides of good and evil were on the brink of war.  Minister of Magic, Cornelius Fudge, of course, refused to see the truth until it could no longer be denied.
     On July 14th, 1998, disaster struck the wizarding world when former headmaster of Hogwarts Albus Dumbledore was found dead in the streets of Hogsmeade, the Dark Mark hovering above the scene like a cloud, encompassing the world in its shadow.  The war had begun.
     The entire wizarding community turned on the Minister of Magic.  Fudge, in a desperate attempt to save his own skin, fled the country.  No one knows exactly where he went, though an old Muggle man in Brazil swears he saw a man running through the rainforest, muttering to himself.
     After this, an emergency voting was held, ending in the election of Arthur Weasley.  He agreed, but only on the condition that he be able to go back to his own department after the war was over.  That was, if there still was a department, or even a Ministry, left.

***

     Notices were tacked up everywhere, pleading with all able witches and wizards to enlist to create a makeshift army.  Harry, Hermione, Melissa, Sheila, Draco, Fred Weasley, and George Weasley signed up immediately, along with just about everyone else who had graduated from Hogwarts, except for most of the Slytherins, many of whom had already pledged loyalty to another.  Even a few students still in Hogwarts signed up, mostly seventh years, who would soon be graduating and would be joining the ranks after leaving.  Among these people were Ginny Weasley and Colin Creevey, along with many others.  Icicle wanted to help, but she was still only a fourth year and too young to enlist anyway, as the age requirement was sixteen.  Ron, however, did not join.
     Among the older generation, such people as Sirius Black, Minerva McGonagall, and Elisabeth Wilson joined.  Madam Pomfrey volunteered herself as a nurse and spent her time in medical tents, healing the wounded soldiers.  Hogwarts had to make do with several inexperienced teachers as half its staff joined in the fight.

***

     The war carried on for over a year.  The army was divided by the use of ages.  One of the groups was for those who were ages sixteen to twenty-one, which means all of the Order of the Phoenix was in the same one.  They did not see many battles.  Rumor was that this group was being kept aside, for fear of the Boy Who Lived becoming a casualty.
     Finally, in the fall of 1999, what was to become the final battle was fought.  Both sides brought out all of their ranks, no longer holding back.  The side of good lined their troops in order of age, the older and more experienced starting out on the front line.  Harry was forced to the very back, to be hidden by those in front of him.
     The side of evil advanced in a semicircle, made up of figures cloaked in black.  Above them, a cloud of black smoke hovered at a safe distance, watching the battle.
     This battle actually had a rather surprising start.  Instead of one side firing at the other as a beginning, this time a deatheater stepped out of the circle.  He turned on one of his fellow deatheaters and struck him down.  Then, he pulled off his hood, revealing himself as Severus Snape.  He quickly disappeared into the ranks of good as the deatheaters swarmed forward.
     Never before has there been and hopefully never again will there be such a war.  In only a few minutes, the bodies of the dead and dying littered the ground, the blood of both good and evil seeping into the soil.  The ranks of good thinned out, and the back line, Harrys line, was soon brought to the forefront.  The few remaining survivors of the older ranks moved back to help protect the younger generation, as some of them had children in the rank.  Harry, of course, had the most protection.  Well see what happened with him later, but first, well pay a visit to Sheila.

~~~~
     As the ranks moved up, Sheila prepared herself for what would happen next.  She turned to Melissa and the both nodded.  Time for the Potter sisters to make their statement.
     Sheila broke out of the ranks, shooting spells ranging from severing charms to the full body bind.  At times, she didnt know if the people she hit were enemies or not, but in the heat of battle, that didnt seem to matter.  At one point, she felt something sharp hit her arm, but this only made her battle harder.
     Then, a scream broke her concentration.  She ran across the field, dodging spells, only to have her worse suspicions confirmed.  On the ground, her eyes open in surprise, was Melissas lifeless form.
     Sheila knelt by her sister and buried her face in her hands, shutting out the world.  She couldnt deal with something like this right now.  Shed always thought if someone were to die, it would be her.   Shed never thought before of what she might do if she lived and Melissa didnt.
     She never saw the person sneak up behind her.  She never heard or saw the spell.  She only felt a sudden numbness and heard a rushing sound in her ears before the world went dark.
------------------------------------------------------
     Harry looked around, hardly able to seen as people moved to stand in front of him, acting as human shields.  But these barriers didnt stop him from seeing the fact that people were dropping left and right.  When he finally saw Sirius fall wounded, he snapped.  He pushed his way out of the ranks, stepping into the open.
     Harry, dont! a voice shouted, who it was, Harry didnt care.
     They didnt do anything! Harry shouted.  Im the one you want!  Leave them out of this!
     Harry no, Hermione said as she and Draco came forward to stand with him, were helping, whether you like it or not.
     Several deatheaters raised their wands, but the cloud of smoke that had hovered above their heads came down, making them retreat several steps.  The smoke touched down and became the person who had started this battle.  Lord Voldemort had finally joined the war.
     Step back, he hissed at his followers, who obeyed immediately.  This is my fight.
     Harry stood up straight, his had clutched around his wand.  If he was going to die, he would at least die standing up to Voldemort, and not hiding behind the army.  He only wished Hermione and Draco would step back too.
     Its a pity, Voldemort said, raising his wand.  I thought youd put up more of a fight.  Then again, a victory is a victory.  Avada Kedavra!
     A jet of green light shot from the end of the wand, seeming to travel toward Harry in slow motion.  He took a deep breath, preparing himself for the end.
     But then, the spell really did slow down.  It stopped about a foot from Harry and evaporated, a single puff of smoke drifting away into the sky.
     What This was one of the rare occasions where Voldemort showed any emotion, a stunned look plastered on his face.
     Melissa and Sheila stepped forward, seeming to come out of nowhere.  They stood on either side of Harry and each put a hand on his shoulder.  Melissa reached out her other hand to Draco while Sheila took Hermiones hand.
     Harry didnt remember much of what happened after that.  When he would later try to recall it, all that came to him was a feeling of being complete, as though a part of him that had been missing all these years had finally been found.  Then, he had blacked out, and knew nothing more.
------------------------------------------------------
     Melissa smiled sadly as Harry, Draco, and Hermione fell to the ground, unconscious.  They would be all right, but two of them wouldnt understand.  She knelt beside Harry, placing a folded piece of parchment in his hand.
     Be safe, she whispered.  Then, she moved over to Draco and placed another piece of parchment in his hand.  Be at peace.
     Its time to go, Sheila said from where she stood a few feet away, looking apprehensive.
     Melissa nodded and went to stand with her as they looked over the battlefield, where cloud of smoke was clearing away to reveal those who had survived, and those who had not.  Sheila was gazing down at Hermione.
     Do you see it? she asked, closing her eyes.
     Melissa nodded.  She doesnt know it yet, but she carries the future with her.  So many have passed on, the next generation will be fewer than it should be.
     Sheila slowly opened her eyes again.  Yes, she will know soon.  It wont make their grief any less, but it will help them to move on.  She will help them to move on.
     Melissa wiped a tear from her eye.  I only wish Draco didnt have to be alone.
     Sheila placed a hand on her shoulder.  Hell be all right, she whispered.  Hes finally free of the Dark Mark.  Youll see him again, I can guarantee it.
------------------------------------------------------
     Harry slowly regained his consciousness and tried to sit up.  He felt a hand pushing on his shoulder slightly and he fell back, too weak to fight.
     Just lie down, Mr. Potter, a voice said.  When Harry, opened his eyes, he saw that it was Madam Pomfrey.  You took quite a beating out there.
     What happened to the others? Harry asked, looking around wildly.
     Calm down, Madam Pomfrey said, Miss Granger and Mr. Malfoy are just fine.
     What about Melissa and Sheila? Harry asked.  What happened to them?
     Madam Pomfrey suddenly seemed very nervous and looked back over her shoulder.  Harry moved his head and saw George Weasley on the other side of the tent.  Now, he stepped forward, bowing his head.
     Im afraid they didnt make it, he said.
     Harry turned his head to look at the ceiling hardly believing what he was hearing.  He couldnt believe they were gone.  Thats impossible, he said.  I saw them just before I blacked out.  They were fine.
     George shook his head.  They died an hour before then.  I saw it with my own eyes.  Im sorry. He turned and left the tent, passing Hermione just as she was coming in.
     Harry, youre awake! she ran forward, falling to her knees beside Harry and grabbing his hand.  Did you hear about Melissa and Sheila?
     Harry nodded sadly, but didnt say anything.  Hermione wiped her eyes and there was a moment of tense silence.
     Im not crazy am I? she asked.  I mean you saw them to, didnt you?
     Yeah, Harry said quietly.
     Whats that in your hand? Hermione asked suddenly.
     Harry looked at his clenched fist in surprise and opened it to reveal a crumpled piece of parchment.  He smoothed it out and he and Hermione read:
     We dont want you blaming yourself for anything thats happened.  The Order of the Phoenix has done what it was meant to do, and this is a small price to pay in the end.  Congratulate Hermione for us, and remember, with every end, there is a new beginning.
     Harry turned to Hermione.  Congratulate you for what? he asked.
     Hermione gave a small smile.  I dont know how they knew.  Madam Pomfrey was doing a check up and she just told me the news.  Harry, Im going to have a baby.
     Harrys eyes widened.  He hadnt known what to expect, but this certainly wasnt it.  He was too shocked to speak and there were several minutes of silence.
     Im going to be a father, he said, to no one in particular, the words sounding strange to him.
     Hermione nodded.  Please dont freak out on me.  I know this is a lot to take right now, but
     Harry reached up a hand to silence her.  Are you afraid Im going to leave you?  Hermione, I would never do that.  I love you, and nothing will ever change that.  I justI dont know if Id make a good father.
     Oh Harry, dont be silly, Hermione said, wrapping her arms around him.  Youll make a great father.
     Harry smiled and returned the hug.  He didnt know what exactly the future held for them, but he knew that they would face it together.
------------------------------------------------------
     Draco woke up with a pounding headache and a dull pain in his side.  He didnt feel strong enough to sit up, so he just opened his eyes slowly.
     Good, youre awake, a voice said.  Draco turned to see George Weasley standing a few feet away.
     Not exactly the face I wanted to see, Draco muttered.
     Yes, well, I was unfortunate enough to be selected for this task, George said.  I have already been to speak with Harry and Hermione.  Im afraid Melissa and Sheila were lost in the battle.
     Draco couldnt believe what he was hearing and had to ask George to repeat himself several times.
     Im sorry, George said before turning to leave.
     Draco shut his eyes and brought up his hands to cover them.  It was only then that he realized there was something in his hand.  He smoothed out the piece of parchment and read:
     The Order of the Phoenix has fulfilled its destiny and so has the Dragon.  I now know of the dreams that youve been hiding from me.  They didnt come true.  I did not die by your hand, and I dont want you thinking otherwise.  If you need proof that its really over, just look at your arm.  And remember, Ill always be with you.
     Draco put down the parchment and the sleeve from his left arm.  One glimpse was all he needed to know that it was finally over.  He had survived the war and he his worst nightmares hadnt come true.  Even though Melissa was gone, he knew that everything was going to be all right.
     On his arm, where once rested something that had threatened to destroy the one he loved, there was nothing.  The Dark Mark was gone.
~~~~

     And everything was all right.  Draco soon got a job with the Ministry of Magic in the Department for the Regulation of Underage Wizardry.  He kept in contact with Harry and Hermione, who helped him out a lot in the healing process.  Many people came up to him to say how sorry they were that he lost Melissa and talked about how he lived all alone in the old Malfoy mansion.  He doesnt wish to be pitied though.  After all, he isnt really alone.

***

     Harry and Hermione also got jobs at the Ministry as Aurors.  This job wasnt nearly as glamorous as it had once been, however, as there werent nearly as many dark wizards running around anymore.

***

     For the first time in a little over eighteen years, the Hogsmeade Village Graveyard was the site of an immense gathering.  On this day, the ring of flowers around the graves of Lily and James Potter was extended to include two more graves, marked with a single headstone that read:

         Sheila Potter                                Melissa Potter Malfoy
             1979  1999                                       1979  1999

                      Unknown to the world until the very end

***

     In the end, the death toll of the war was catastrophic.  Some of the ones we know better are:  Sirius Black, Neville Longbottom, Fred Weasley, Charlie Weasley, Dean Thomas, Melissa Malfoy, and Sheila Potter.  The list goes on and on, but we wont dwell on that.

***

     Seamus and Ginny were married the next year, and those who had survived were invited.  Ron was there, but no one approached him.  They knew that he still didnt want to speak to them.
     Other than that, no one heard much from Ron.  After Professor Trelawney retired though, the students started telling of a strange new Divination teacher.  It seemed that every time one of the students did a reading in which they foresaw love in their future, he would get a far off look, as though battling with some memory too painful to speak of.  When anyone would ask him about it, he would shake his head and say it was nothing.

***

     Blaise never married.   She was asked by Daniel Nott, but she turned him down.  She had sworn to herself years earlier that she would never love anyone, as the only love shed ever known had rewarded her only with pain.

***

     Dudley was indeed sent back to first year after his fifth year and was forced to go to class with students five and six years younger than him.  He ended up dropping out a couple years later and going back to live in the Muggle world.

***

     Everyone wants to know what became of Hagrid, but the truth is, no one really knows.  He and Madam Maxime were sent to speak with the giants about the impending war.  They never returned.  The giants stayed out of the war, but no one is exactly sure why, or if Hagrid and Madam Maxime had something to do with it.

***

     Upon hearing that Sirius died in the war, Elisabeth Wilson was never the same.  People asked her repeatedly why she was so upset, but all she would do is look down at something on her hand and reply that she was fine.  Nobody knew what she was looking at, as all those who knew the truth had passed on.

***

     After the war, Minerva McGonagall thought a lot about her life and what had happened when she was a teenager.  She truly felt now that Severus had changed for the better, but she felt that it was too late.
     But what she didnt know was that Emily McGonagall had thought about this too.  She thought about it enough that she came to Hogwarts to confront her mother and finally ask who her father was.  Minerva did her one better.  Lets see what happened.

~~~~
     Severus, theres someone here who would like to meet you.
     Who?
     Emily wheeled her chair into the dungeon, staring into the face of the man who had been absent her entire life.  Hello Father, she said.
     Severus stood up immediately, his eyes open wide in disbelief.  Emily? he said faintly.  Listen, Im sorry
     No, Emily said, dont apologize.  Mum told me the story.  Im just glad I finally got to meet you.
     Minerva Severus started, but Minerva held up a hand to stop him.
     Dont say a word, she said and stepped forward, wrapping her arms around him.  I still love you, no matter what I mightve said in the past.
     Severus didnt say a word.  He just smiled and hugged her back.  Meanwhile, Emily watched them and nodded silently to herself.  She had finally met her father, and her mother was finally happy.
~~~~

     Emily was admitted to the hospital a few days later after, during a meeting at work, without warning, she unconscious from her wheelchair and had to be rushed to St. Mungos hospital.  She passed away several hours later.  A nurse says that just before it happened, Emily had smiled at her and said that she was just glad shed lived long enough to see her parents get back together.

***

     So far, it seems that our heroes have met with nothing but pain and loss because of all that has happened.  That, unfortunately, is life, but its not all like that.  As Melissa Malfoy once wrote: With every end, there is a new beginning.  And so, I leave you with a scene that will hopefully remind you that there is still some good in this world, and that there is still hope for the future.

~~~~
     Congratulations Mrs. Potter, its a girl!
     Hermione let out a sound that sounded half like a sob and half like a laugh.  She held out her arms and the nurse lowered the baby down so she was holding her.
     Shes so beautiful, Hermione smiled down at her baby.
     Have you decided on a name? the nurse asked.
     Hermione looked up at Harry, who placed a hand on her shoulder and smiled.  You decide, he said.
     Hermiones eyes moved back to the little girl.  She only had to wonder about a name for a moment before the baby opened her eyes.  She had bright green eyes, even though Hermione had read that all newborns have blue eyes.  Hermione looked back up into Harrys eyes and knew the perfect name.  The baby girl had inherited her fathers eyes, which he had inherited from his mother.  There was only one name that would do in Hermiones mind.  After all, if it wasnt for the woman she now thought of, this new life wouldnt even exist.
     Hermione said the name in a whisper as she looked back down at her daughter, a single tear falling from her eye.
     What? Harry asked.
     Hermione looked up into the eyes of the man she loved with all of her heart and realized that up until this moment, she had never known what true happiness really was.  She smiled and repeated the name more loudly this time, knowing that Harry wouldnt argue against it.
     Lily.
Author's note:  And that is the end.  Sorry if it was a bit confusing, I just added things as they came to me.  I would like to thank all of my loyal readers for sticking with me.  We've had some laughs, shared a few tears, and even experienced some losses of our own.  If there is any character that I didn't include or that you would like to know more about, don't hesitate to ask.  In some cases, I won't give any information however, as some secrets are to be saved for the prequels, sequels, and interludes.  As Melissa Malfoy wrote:  With every end, there is a new beginning.  Little Lily Potter is proof of that.  Goodbye, my loyal readers, I will see you soon when I start posting chapters from a new story that has yet to be named.
