Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Here goes my review of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.  On a scale of 1-10 I give it an 8.  Overall, it was a wonderful movie, better than the first by far.
The charactors were beautifully and hilariously brought to life.  I will mention the ones I liked best.  Rupert Grint really brought Ron's fear of spiders to the surface with his wonderful acting.  Tom Felton especially brought his charactor, Draco, out, seemingly evil in all scenes alone, yet strangly quiet, cowardly even, around his father.  Jason Issacs interpretation of his charactor was dead-on.  The cool, calm attitude could only belong to Lucius Malfoy.  The sneering, fake respect toward Dumbledore and Fudge.  The quiet insult to Hagrid's cabin.  The cruel treatment of house-elfs.  I would say, and my best friend would probably agree, Tom Felton and Jason Issacs really brought the, pardon my language, bad-ass hotties' theme to life.
The Quidditch scenes were amazing.  As I watched the charactors zooming around on their broomsticks, I felt as though I was up there with them.  When Harry spotted the snitch next to Draco's head and the chase scene began, I was literally on the edge of my seat, the whole time wondering why Harry hasn't broken his arm yet.  But I soon forgot about this as Draco came crashing down to the ground.  Then, back to Harry.  He's reaching to get the snitch and boom, he gets hit by the bludger.  Even for someone who's read the books it comes as a surprise.
The other action scenes were also breathtaking.  When Arogog and his children were on-screen, I knew that they would haunt my dreams.  In the meantime, Ron is standing with Harry, saying in a very high-pitched voice "can we panic now?"  The spider chase scene in the car literally makes your hair stand on end.  I can't give an actual review of the basilik scene since I had to go to the bathroom in the middle of it (curse my bladder), but my friends tell me it was amazing as well.
Some scenes were so shocking as to make the entire theater gasp.  Ron's slug scene's gasp was quickly followed by my best friend covering her mouth like she was going to be sick.  The biggest gasp came near the end, after Lucius left Dumbledore's office.  As Dobby hurried in front of him, Lucius kicked him, sending him flying a few feet.  Then to see him wincing as he tried to stand with Lucius yelling at him to get moving, it brought tears to my eyes.  It's hard to imagine someone being so cruel.
There were also many funny scenes.  Right after Harry's bones were removed and his wrist could be bent back to where the back of his had was resting on his arm got a big laugh.  People laughed when Dobby punished himself, but I for one felt guilty for laughing because I knew why he did it.  But the scene that got the biggest laugh came after Dobby was freed.  When Lucius said he would kill Harry for freeing his slave, Dobby went into a mode similar to Yoda from Star Wars:  Attack of the Clones.    His ears perked up and a kind of energy-ball (for all you Charmed fans) appeared at the end of his finger as he pointed at Lucious. He threw this at Lucious, blasting him down the hallway, much to the enjoyment of everyone in the theater, including my best friend, who said Lucius looked good with his hair down in his face like that.
Anywho, that's my review of the movie.  The only reason I didn't give it a 10 out of 10 is because I've read the books, so I noticed every little thing they left out or messed up on.  My friends and I probably annoyed the other people in the theater, what with my staring open-mouthed at Draco and my best friend purring (yes, purring) whenever Lucius came on screen.  But it was great.
