The temperature was unbearably hot all day. As can be seen in this picture, Stephen found it hard going. (As yet, you can't buy a Mac shake in a temple)
On the way to the bus stop.....a bit of high drama. Stephen manages to stab himself on a piece of exposed wire. Several minutes of serious bleeding later, we are guided to local doctor (a mere 30 meters away) who is kind enough to........
clean and dress the wound. Rod admits later that his first reaction seeing the spurting blood was to reach for the camera....for a web page exclusive.
After the drama is over, we return to the sight of the accident for a couple of "oooh look at all that blood" photos.
A short bus ride later we find ourselves at the famous Golden Pavillion. The entire top two stories of this building are entirely covered with real gold leaf
