This rope is attached to a giant gong, and by ringing it you are waking the gods.

Along a mountain path lined by buddha statues we came across this cave which contained many statues.

In true Japanese style, Rod, Stephen and Mike stripped naked and joined other Japanese bathers in a 200 year old Onsen hot spring bath.

After the hot spring bath. The look on their faces says it all (Stephen says it is the most embarrasing thing he has ever done).
