The arrival day. having spent 15 hours confined in an airplane operated by a company notorious for unscheduled and uncontrolled landings.......we arrived in a strange city full of foreigners!!
No fish and chip shops, but plenty of McDonalds! The city is really beyond anything that Stephen and I imagined. Even though the streets are full of people it still maintains the air of a small suburban town. No hint of danger and a strange air of naivity. It is also very very hot! Our first day has taken us to the very top of the city and beyond. Here follows a taste of what for us is the start of our great Japan adventure!
