Today was going to be Mt. Fuji day, but if you remember the pictures of Mike being launched into orbit then you will understand that his severe whiplash was a good reason not to attempt the trip this week,so..........
Today we went out of Tokyo for the first time. Yokohama, Mike's work place, was our first port of call. As can be seen by the pictures it is more spacious than Tokyo. After Yokohama we visited the Daibuttsu (Big Buddha) and ended the day on the beach at Kamakura for a massive firework display in company with 100,000 Japanese. 
This one's in memory of Ginger, our dear departed gerbil who died in England yesterday (August 10). This specimen appears to be a kind of beaver kept as a pet in a ridiculously small cage. 
This gives you a flavour of the kind of street around the area in which Mike & Hari lives.
