She was a great singer, a very nice person to work with and we (the band, CROSS COUNTRY had a great and fun time playing behind her). She loved music and the Grand Ole Opry was a home to her. To me she opened the door for a lot of the female artists that we enjoy today and have crossed over to the pop sound. I sure miss her country sunshine that filled all our days in the world of country music and I know in my heart that somewhere in heaven she is singing her heart out and is thrilled that she hasn't been forgotten by her old and new fans 1
