PERSONAL INFORMATION

I created this section for people who would like to know a little info about me and this website. I live in England. I'm single and not looking. I dont work, not yet i dont. I love Country Music and enyoy reading about the stars. A browse thru my music collection and you will find such greats as, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton, to name a few. I also love computers and keep up with my websites. I was introduced to Dottie West at a very young age thru my parrents. They knew i loved Country Music and when they saw the movie of Dottie's life "Big Dreams And Broken Hearts" they put it on and i watched it. I found it very fascinating and wanted to watch it again. My dad searched video and music shops for it and couldn't order it because it was out of stock. I was

young and soon gave up trying to locate it but it still stuck in my head. When i became alot older i tried to order it again, and again but i still had no luck. On November or December i decided i would try and order it one more time. A few weeks later i received a letter thru the post, from the music shop, saying that the video was out of stock. That same day i was in town and i had a look in that same music shop. I was browsing thru the vidoes and i spotted the Dottie movie. I just couldn't beleive it. I bought it, but as it was so near to christmas, my mom decided she would give it to me as a christmas present, because she knew it would make such a great gift for me. Well christmas day came, that night i watched it. Again i found it fascinating and became a instant Dottie West fan.

WEBSITE INFORMATION

The first chance i got, when i became a fan, i searched the web for Dottie. My first experience of seeing the real Dottie West was Brad Gagner's website on Dottie. I found the site very useful it included information on her and also included a few photos & audio clips. The amount of work he has done is simply remarkable! While at the same time, I was enjoying the lifetime of love that Brad had committed to his site, in the back of my mind I wanted my own Dottie site. First i could not Possibly aford to create a Dottie site and secondly i didn't have anything on Dottie, thats soon changed! and i didn't own a computer, i was using the local library computers. I soon discovered Yahoo groups! and on June 12th, 2002, i created my own little Dottie club "Dottie West Lovers". That

club is now gone and recently i started a new one up "Remembering Dottie West". I still kept dreaming that one of these's days i would have a Dottie website of my own. As i searched and searched the web about my idol i found little information on Dottie. Information that i thought should be told. After i started collecting books, videos and magazines, i found tons of information. Sometime in August my friend John told me that i could create a website for FREE at Yahoo GeoCities. Straight away i created the site. It was just one page and i called it "Dottie West Mania. I didn't know nothing about building a website. When i learned more about buliding websites i created a new site "Remembering Dottie West" and added many sections. I spent many months

reading and learning how to build a website. The HTML code is written by me, and me alone. No fancy HTML editors, like WebEdit, Netscape Composer or MS FrontPage, are used. This site was officially released to the public on December 5th 2003 I started this website as a tribute to Dottie West and to provide Dottie fans everywhere a resource where they can access information about their favourite star and connect with other Dottie fans from around the world and share their common interest. I also got my own computer last year, so now i can work as many hours as like on my site. Along the way i made many great friends including Brad. I have also had the pleasure of writing to Dottie's son Kerry West & his wife Kenna and Dottie's stell-guitar player Ruby and some of her friends.
