The first chance i got, when i became a fan, i searched the web for Dottie. My first experience of seeing the real Dottie West was Brad Gagner's website on Dottie. I found the site very useful it included information on her and also included a few photos & audio clips. The amount of work he has done is simply remarkable! While at the same time, I was enjoying the lifetime of love that Brad had committed to his site, in the back of my mind I wanted my own Dottie site. First i could not Possibly aford to create a Dottie site and secondly i didn't have anything on Dottie, thats soon changed! and i didn't own a computer, i was using the local library computers. I soon discovered Yahoo groups! and on June 12th, 2002, i created my own little Dottie club "Dottie West Lovers". That
club is now gone and recently i started a new one up "Remembering Dottie West". I still kept dreaming that one of these's days i would have a Dottie website of my own. As i searched and searched the web about my idol i found little information on Dottie. Information that i thought should be told. After i started collecting books, videos and magazines, i found tons of information.
Sometime in August my friend John told me that i could create a website for FREE at Yahoo GeoCities. Straight away i created the site. It was just one page and i called it "Dottie West Mania. I didn't know nothing about building a website. When i learned more about buliding websites i created a new site "Remembering Dottie West" and added many sections. I spent many months
reading and learning how to build a website. The HTML code is written by me, and me alone. No fancy HTML editors, like WebEdit, Netscape Composer or MS FrontPage, are used. This site was officially released to the public on December 5th 2003 I started this website as a tribute to Dottie West and to provide Dottie fans everywhere a resource where they can access information about their favourite star and connect with other Dottie fans from around the world and share their common interest. I also got my own computer last year, so now i can work as many hours as like on my site. Along the way i made many great friends including Brad. I have also had the pleasure of writing to Dottie's son Kerry West & his wife Kenna and Dottie's stell-guitar player Ruby and some of her friends.
