| Unless, he continued, The teams practice is supervised by a teacher. He looked around at the students. Suddenly, a violet-haired woman walked into the hall. Ah, said Dumbledore, There you are Arabella! He and the woman shook hands. Harrys mouth dropped open in astonishment. Students, meet your new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Figg. The students clapped politely. Professor Figg gave a quick bow, and took her seat next to Dumbledore. Now, said Dumbledore, As there is no longer anything to discuss, you may all begin your feast. With a clap of his hands, the plates on the table were filled with food. Everyone began to eat excitedly. Everyone, that is, except Harry. Hey, Arry, said Ron, his mouth stuffed with potatoes, Arent you gonna eat sumfing? Harry looked like he was going to be sick. Dont you realize who that new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher is? Harry moaned. Ron and Hermione looked at each other, then shook their heads. Thats Mrs. Figg!! She followed me here! he said. Hermione gave him a weird look. Harry, I dont know if you realized this, but those two people look nothing alike, Hermione said. No, no, no. You dont understand. Listen, Harry said. He then told them everything that had happened at Mrs. Figgs house. When he was finished, his two friends were staring at him. So you mean to say, asked Ron, That this neighbor of yours has followed you to the school, and shes going to be your babysitter for the rest of the year? Harry nodded glumly. Ron frowned. Well thats sure going to destroy any chance of fun we could have had this year Harry sighed. Well, said Hermione, Not eating isnt going to make this year any more fun, I guess, agreed Harry. He began to taste some of the food. Seeing how good it was, he started to stuff his face, forgetting for a while about the bad luck that he had. |
