Chapter 20
Ron's Big News
Harry stood in shock for a moment, staring at the door that Sirius had just exited from. He had never seen Sirius become so angry before. Was it possible that he was working with Mrs. Figg and Snape to capture him and bring him to Voldemort? No, Harry thought to himself, theres no way, there has to be a reason for it. But in the meantime, he knew he would have to figure out what a Naidraug was, and he knew just the person who could do it.

Listen Harry, normally I can find out what something is because I usually have heard of it before. But, this Naydog thing... Ive never even heard that word before Hermione looked skeptically at Harry. She obviously didnt want to go searching in the Library for hours, especially if she didnt know what she was searching for.
Its called a Naidraug, Harry corrected her, And youre the only one that can do it, Hermione. Please, I really need to figure out what this creature, or whatever, is. Hermione gave him a foreboding look.
Well, I guess I could try looking for it, she said, But Im not going to promise you anything. For all we know a Naidraug could be some made up thing that isnt even recorded in the Library! Harry smiled appreciatively at her.
Thanks, I dont know what Id do without you, he said. Hermione blushed slightly at his words. Anyway, we better go to class now, he said quickly, We can talk more about it at lunch.

As Ron, Harry, and Hermione sat down to eat that day, they heard loud screeching echoing at the top of the ceiling.
Ah, finally, Ron said, Mails here. The fluttering of wings could be heard throughout the Great Hall as hundreds of owls swooped in towards the students. Harry remembered the first time he saw the mail arrive four years ago, and how amazed he was by it. Now it was just a common thing, although you could still hear a few gasps coming from the first years now and then. A large, scruffy looking owl, covered in jagged brown feathers, flew towards them carrying a package wrapped in brown paper. It dropped the package right onto Rons plate, splattering food around the table. Ron made a disgusted face. Must be one of them Daily Prophet owls, theyve never been the most polite of the owls. He picked up his package and unwrapped it. See? he said, holding up the newest edition of the paper. Both Harry and Hermiones mouths dropped when they looked at the paper that Ron held. The headline that showed read New Minister of Magic Appointed.
Ron! Open that newspaper, quickly! Look at the main headline! Hermione urged him. He looked at the paper, his eyes widening. He quickly unfolded the paper and started to skim the article. Suddenly, his whole face went pink. He blinked stupidly, and then peered closer at the paper, as if he were trying to see if it was real.
Hurry up! I want to read it! Hermione said impatiently. Rons face didnt stir. He stared blankly at the paper.
What is it, Ron? Harry asked. Ron gave no response. He just continued staring.
Oh, give me that, Hermione said, yanking the paper out of his hands. Ron appeared as if he didnt notice there was no longer a newspaper in front of his face. Hermione began to quickly read the article. After a few seconds, she gasped.
Oh my God she said in disbelief. Ron oh my God this is incredible! Her face showed pure happiness. Harry became impatient.
Whats everyone so excited about? he asked, confused over what could be so great that Ron would still be staring at the table in shock.
Read for yourself! Hermione said excitedly, thrusting the paper at Harry. He took it and started to read.
