So, how was Divination? asked Hermione when they met up with her.
Bogus, as usual, Ron said. She told me that a friend of mine is going to take something from me while Im away, but they wont know that theyve taken it. Hows that supposed to work? he rolled his eyes again. That teacher he muttered.
What about you, Harry? Hermione questioned. Im really interested in how youre going to die this week! His friends laughed at this. They knew that what Professor Trewlaney said was usually way off base. But Harry couldnt help wondering if what she had said was really true.
Actually, he started, She said that I shouldnt go with an obvious answer to a questionable matter in my life right now. His two friends began to laugh.
Whats that supposed to mean? sputtered Ron, giggling uncontrollably.
I dont know, Harry said thoughtfully.
Either way, Divination is highly inaccurate, Hermione said. I really cant see why you two take it in the first place.
Me neither, Ron agreed. Harry worried to himself silently. What if shes right, he thought. Maybe I should keep that in mind when deciding on an important issue. He walked along the corridors with Hermione and Ron.
So, Ron asked, Do you think youll do any spying on Professor Figg?
I think I have to, Harry said. I cant take any chances.
Harry! came a voice from behind him. Harry turned around. He saw the Weasley twins running towards him through the hallway. They reached him, panting.
Just found out that our Quidditch match against Ravenclaws been rescheduled, George puffed.
For when? Harry asked.
Tomorrow, Fred wheezed.
Tomorrow? Harry gasped. Damn! he cursed. Harry racked his brain for an idea. Suddenly he thought of something. Do me a favor?
Sure, George said.
What do you need? Fred asked.
Go find the entire team and tell them we have an unscheduled practice this afternoon. Harry told them.
Sure thing! exclaimed Fred as they began to leave. Suddenly, George stopped, and turned around quickly.
Ron! he said.
Yeah? Ron asked.
Just wanted to tell you that we have an unscheduled Quidditch practice this afternoon, he said, grinning madly. As Fred cracked up, they ran off.
Stupid git, mumbled Ron.
Are you coming to the practice? Harry asked hopefully.
Yeah, whatever. As long as Im not playing against Malfoy I dont think I really have to worry about anything. Ron said nonchalantly.
Good! Harry exclaimed. He was glad that Ron had decided to stay in the keeper position. Not only was Ron a superb keeper, but Harry also knew that he needed some sort of recognition for his abilities. Surrounded by a huge family and five older brothers, Harry thought it must be hard for Ron to feel unique. But then again, at least hes got a family, Harry thought bitterly.
Something wrong? Ron asked edgily.
No, nothings wrong! Harry said optimistically. Ron must have noticed that my facial expression changed, Harry thought. Im just wondering what itll be like playing Ravenclaw again.
Why? Ron asked. Afraid Cho will beat you? Hermione made a sour face when Chos name was mentioned.
Not while hes on a Firebolt, Hermione said crossly.
No need to be jealous, Hermione, Ron chuckled. Cho isnt even half as good of a seeker as Harry is! Is she, Harry?
Harry seriously doubted this, but he didnt want to discourage Ron. Nope, he lied. However, Harry hadnt played Cho in Quidditch since his third year. He couldnt help but wonder if Cho had gotten much better since then.
Dont get too cocky now, came a soft voice. Harry, quite startled, spun around to see who had said it. He stared Cho Chang right in the face. Feeling himself blush furiously, he tried to say something.
III didnt know you were there, Cho, he stuttered. Cho giggled.
I cant wait to see how youve improved as seeker, she said, smiling. Harry was at a loss for words. Cho had never approached him before.
Uh I. I he stammered. She smiled pleasantly, and flipped her hair to the side.
Well, Ive got to be going now, see you at the match! she exclaimed.
Uh yeah see you there! he forced himself to say. As she walked off, Ron began to snort with laughter.
Smooth one, Harry! he chortled. Harry glared at him.
Oh come off it! he said. I seem to remember a certain Miss Delacour that you
Well, Harry, Ron interrupted loudly, I think wed better be off to get ready for Quidditch practice! He grabbed Harrys arm and began to drag him off to the Gryffindor commons room. See you later, Hermione! Hermione stood in the middle of the hallway, looking very confused.
Bye! she yelled, as Harry was forcefully lead down the corridor.
