| Harry Potter : Harry Potter is a young, famous wizard who was born on July 31st with his bright green eyes and untidy black hair. He attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where he is in the Gryffindor House along with his two best friends Ron Weasley and Hermoine Granger. Harry lives with his aunt, uncle and cousin (the Dursley's) on 4 Privet Drive, although he considers Hogwarts more of a home and dreads returning home in the summer to face his only relatives who are muggles. Harry has a pet snowy owl named Hedwig who stays with him at Hogwarts and at the Dursley's. Harry is unusual even for a wizard because of the remarkable scar on his forehead which he recieved when he was only a year old from Lord Voldemort, the scar is a reminder that he survived the unforgiveable curse Avada Kedavra (the curse of death) which his parents died from. Harry is the only wizard who has ever survived this curse and is one of the few wizards who are ParselTongues (can talk to snakes). At Hogwarts Harry is a seeker on his house quidditch team and is the youngest player on the team in over a century. Harry was also a school champion in the Tri-Wizard Tournament. Ron Weasley : Ron was born on March 1st and like all the other Weasley's in Ron's family, Ron has bright read hair and a face full of freckles. Like Harry, Ron belongs to the Gryffindor House at Hogwarts and is Harry's best friend along with Hermione Granger. Ron is the youngest of his 5 other brothers and has one younger sister. He lives at The Burrow and his favorite quidditch team is the Chudley Cannons. Ron comes from a pure blood wizarding family and is often ashamed of his poverty, he feels over shadowed by his older brothers and sometimes feels jealous of Harry's fame. Ron had a rat called Scabber's who as we know turned out to be Wormtail (Peter Pettigrew), and now owns an owl name Pigwidgeon (Pig) who was given to him by Sirius. Hermione Granger : Hermione is by far the best student in her year, not a question she can't answer or a spell she can't do. She was born on September 19th and is best friends with Harry and Ron. She has a ginger coloured cat named Crookshanks who helped Sirius catch Wormtail. In her fourth year she started a campaign devoted to helping Elf rights S.P.E.W. (Society for Promoting Elfish Welfare) which didn't go over to well even with the House Elves. Her and Viktor Krum, an international quidditch player, have seemed to have recently begun a relationship, we will have to wait to see where this leads in Harry Potter and The Order of the Pheonix as Krum has returned to his home in Bulgaria. Neville Longbottom : Neville Longbottm is in the same year as Harry at Hogwarts and is also in the Gryffindor House. Neville is a very clumsy and forgetful boy who is almost a squib. He has a toad named Trevor and lives with his Grandmother as his parents are in St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. Neville's worst subject is easily Potions which doesn't help him to have Snape as professor in this subject as Neville is scared stiff of him. His best subject is Herbology, yet if Neville has the right teacher he is almost as good in Defense Againest the Dark Arts. (who would've thought) Dean Thomas and Seamus Finnigan : Dean and Seamus share their Gryffindor dormitory with Harry, Ron, and Neville. They are very good friends and were quite impressed with Harry and Ron when they found out that they were taking Parvati and Padma Patil to the Yule Ball who were according to them the prettiest girls in their year. Dean is a big fan of soccer and is always catching Ron poking the people on his poster trying to make them move. Parvati Patil : Parvati Patil is a very pretty Gryffindor who is in the same year as Harry. Her favorite subject at Hogwarts is Divination as she adores Professor Trelawny and in return Professor Trelawnly favors Parvati telling her that she has the makings of a true seer. Parvati went to the Yule Ball with Harry in their forth year and had a twin sister named Padma in Ravenclaw who went to the Ball with Ron. Draco Malfoy : Draco Malfoy is a Slytherin at Hogwarts and is in the same year as Harry as well. Draco is the son of Lucius Malfoy who was once a Death Eater and in Lord Voldemorts inner circle but returned back to the other side when Voldemort lost his powers claiming to be under the Imperious Curse. Malfoy and Harry have been enimes since the first day they met on the Hogwarts Express. Malfoy's best friends are Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle who's fathers were also Death Eaters. Malfoy only believes in respectable pure blood wizarding familes. But there are time when Draco has paid dearly for his actions for example when Professor Moody transfigured him into a ferret and bounced him around the hallway. Malfoy is spoiled rotten and bought his way onto the Slytherin house quidditch team in his second year and is now the seeker of their team. Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle : Crabbe and Goyle are in the Slytherin house at Hogwarts and are in the same year as Harry . They are best friends with Draco Malfoy, and are both big, greedy and stupid. Thay act as Malfoy's sidekicks/bodygaurds and do whatever Malfoy tells them to do. Both of their parents were Death Eaters. Justin Finch-Fletchy : Justin is a Hufflepuff in the same year as Harry. He was muggle-born and was planning to attend Eton before he found that he was accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He believed Harry to be the Heir of Slytherin in their thrid year at Hogwarts and suspected Harry for setting a snake to "attack" him. But now they have their differences settled and are friends once more. Ginny Weasley : Ginny is the only daughter of the Weasley's and like the rest has a full head of red hair and a face full of freckles. She is a huge admirer of Harry's espically after he rescued her from the Basilisk when Tom Riddle kidnapped her in her first year. Ginny has a soft spot for all animals and has a very kind personality. She went to the Yule Ball with Neville after Hermione turned him down. Ginny is a year below Harry at Hogwarts but is also a Gryffindor. Fred and George Weasley : These two hilarious, mischievous twins *cough* my favorite characters *cough* are beaters on the Gryffindor quidditch team. They are always up for a joke and always pulling a prank or two. They know all of the secret passageways of Hogwarts and are frequent visitors to the House Elves in the kitchen. Their future plans are to open a joke shop with the 1000 galloens that Harry gave them after his winning the Tri-Wizard Tournament! Lee Jordon : Lee Jordon is Fred and George Weasly's best friend and also belongs the the Gryffindor House. He always does a hilarious commentary during school quidditch matches. Professor McGonagall has a constant job of reminding him that he's suppose to be an impartial judge keeping his commentary on the game and not being biased. Cho Chang : Cho Chang is a pretty Ravenclaw girl who is two years ahead of Harry at Hogwarts. Cho is the seeker for the Ravenclaw House quidditch team and Harry has a huge crush on her. He had asked her to go to the Yule Ball with him but turned him down as she had already agreed to go with Cedric Diggory. She does like Harry but as more then friends we don't know? She became Cedric's girlfriend after the Yule Ball and was very upset when he was murdered by Lord Voldemort. Cedric Diggory : Cedric was a tall, handsome, Hufflepuff in Hogwarts and was also a prefect and Hogwarts champion in the Tri-Wizard Tournament. He went to the Yule Ball with Cho Chang and went out with her after that. Cedric was a loyal friend and a fair player. He was the seeker and captain of the Hufflepuff quidditch team and beat Harry to the snitch in their first match againest each other due to Harry's falling off his broom. Cedric was murdered in Harry's fourth year by none other then Lord Voldemort when he used the unforgivable curse Avada Kadavra this happened when he travelled to Voldemorts fathers grave through a portkey (the Tri-Wizard Cup) with Harry. Harry escaped once again and returned with Cedric's body with him for his parents by request of Cedric through the form of an echo. Colin and Dennis Creevy : Colin Creevy is a Gryffindor who is a year below Harry at Hogwarts and is Harry's biggest fan second only to Ginny. In his first year he used to follow Harry everywhere taking pictures and being amazed with everything he did. He was petrified that year by the Basilik when sneaking up to the hospital wing to visit Harry. He has a brother named Dennis who is almost as excited over going to school with Harry as Colin. He fell into the lake and got pushed back into his boat by the giant squid when he first travelled across the lake to become a Hogwarts student. Dennis is 3 years below Harry and is also a Gryffindor. Oliver Wood : Oliver was a Gryffindor and 3 years ahead of Harry. Wood Was captain of the Gryffindor quidditch team and played keeper. He always has the team on a tight scheduale being determined to win the Gryffindor house the Quidditch cup which he finally succeeded to do in his last year at Hogwarts. He is very serious about Quidditch and a good player at that, he is now a reserve player for the international quidditch team Puddlemere United. Angelina Johnson, Katie Bell and Alicia Spinnet : Angelina, Katie and Alicia are all Gryffindors and play chasers on the Gryffindor quidditch team. Angelina put her name into the Goblet of Fire hoping to become Hogwarts champion but never got the chance to compete in the Tournament. She went to the Yule Ball with Fred Weasly. Foriegn Students : Viktor Krum : Viktor Krum is an international quidditch player who attends Durmstrang, a foriegn wizarding school hidden in the North. He had a crush on Hermione and used to follow her to the library until he found the courage to ask her to go to the Yulee Ball with him. He invited Hermione to visit him the summer of her fourth year in Bulgaria (his home). Krum has many admirer's including Ron Weasley. Krum was the champion for Drumstrang in the Tri-Wizard Tournament. Fleur Delacor : Fleur is from the French school Beauxbaton and was visiting Hogwarts in Harry's fourth year as she competed as Beauxbatons champion in the Tri-Wizard Tournament. Fleur has gottan a summer job in England after Harry's fourth year so that she can improve her English. She is part Veela so she can attract guys easily espically Ron who made a fool of himself asking her to the Yule Ball in front of everyone. Fleur was very cold toward Harry when she first met him but warmed up to him after the second task in the Tournament when he rescued her sister from the lake. |
