Gryffindor is one of the four houses at Hogwarts School., it was founded by Godric Gryffindor one of the four founders of Hogwarts School. Godric wanted his students to have the characteristics of being brave and daring. (The following facts are how they stood during Book 4, The Goblet of Fire)

- The Head of the Gryffindor House is Professor Minerva McGonagall

- House Mascot is the Gryffindor Lion

- Gryffindor House colors are Scarlet and Gold

- The Gryffindor Ghost is Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington (Nearly Headless Nick)

- The Gryffindor House Quidditch Team consists of:

Seeker - Harry Potter
Beaters - Fred and George Weasley
Chasers - Angelina Johnson, Katie Bell, and Alicia Spinnet
Keeper - Oliver Wood (Captain) *no longer attending Hogwarts

- Quidditch uniforms are Scarlet and Gold

- Won Quidditch cup once since Harry's first year that was in Harry's fourth year

- Won house cup 4 times since Harry's first year

- All the Weasley's were in Gryffindor so were Harry's parents, Sirius, Lupin and Peter
