Seraph:

My secret is safe with you, my dear-
but is it safe with me?
I can't stop craving all the more
the things you have to offer.
Will you take my hand again?
Will my fingers linger on your skin?
Can I taste the salt upon your lips
and calm my raging senses?
If I only had one moment more,
you'd never covet another's hold.
Oh, the things to make you see
that none is impassioned like I.
One night is just a murderous tease-
Leaving me craving- a fiend for your drug.
My desire is drowning- an appetite of sorts.
I hunger for you...
a lion for prey.
Your intimacy is a gift
the gods wish to withdraw.
You became my air when you first took my breath.
You became my blood when you first stopped my heart.
Without you I will perish.
Without you I will starve.
Will you return me to the haven of your graceful arms?
I'll be waiting, as always, at the foot of your throne-
Darling, my lovely, my virtuous seraph.
