An FQF is basically just a writing competition. They tend to be slash, though, like this one. This particular FQF is based in the Pirates of the Carribbean scene. So, hopefully the characters in it, unless stated otherwise, will be PotC related. Okay. So basically, you choose a story from the lists of possible plots, then write it yourself. There are prizes, albeit very small ones, and you get the pride of looking at your story and saying 'I wrote that.'
As you might get the connotations from the words Fuh Q Fest, you might realise that the main theme of the stories will contain FuhQing, savvy? And if you still don't get it, say it. That doesn't neccessarily mean that you should put it in. A lot of stories do well enough without it, but some are topped off with such an addition.
