I don't know where the Bible mentions tobacco or marijuana, but it does say "be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled by the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18). I believe this principle against drunkenness applies to any kind of "high" we try to get apart from the high of being filled by the Spirit.

Isn't the Spirit of Jesus himself we as believers have within us enough for us to feel good? If not, what should this tell us, and what does it tell unbelievers?
