This page is under construction. Check back in 24 hours, and I will have what you are looking for - Power Post Moves.
Power Post Moves
The post moves will propel you to one of the 6 power positions from where you can use one of these scoring options to attack the defensive player. The power moves are as follows:
The Fake Series (dead ball moves)
Shot fake
Pass Fake
Shoulder-look Fake
Live Moves
Side-split Move
Shoulder-look Move
Side Reverse Dribble Move
Triple-hop Move
Jab-step Move
Note:
I am not a big fan of the Drop-step and Spin Moves because of the following reasons:
The moves do not offer you counter options if the defensive recovers.
The moves also requires that the offensive player by quicker that the defensive player. Most of the time the opposite applies.
Moves that works well in the post are deliberate moves that allows the offensive player to execute them under his or her own pace.
Dead Ball Moves:
These dead-ball moves can be executed in the block without the dribble when you get an entry pass or pick up the dribble in the power position. These moves are also idea for getting back into the side power position if you happen to get the ball in the dead (back to the basket) position. They can also be used to set up the stage for recycling the scoring options.
Live Ball Moves:
The live ball moves are executed with the dribble. The main purpose is to propel you to the one of the six power positions from where you can use one of the 14 scoring options to attack the basket. The moves can also be combined with the dead ball moves to recycle the scoring options.
