Friendship bracelets are the symbol of friendship, they symbolize a bond between friends. One said, if you receive a friendship bracelet, you have to wear it as sign of the friendship untill the bracelet is torn.

I started my first friendship bracelet about 8 years ago. I was in a scout summercamp and that was the summer when I became a girl scout. All the other girls already had this kind of bracelets, so I decided to learn it how to knot, because this is how these bracelets are made: they are knotted, and they have more then 200 knots in them, some even over 500 knots. The girls in the camp showed me two very simple patterns, and this is how my knottingaddiction started. I knotted almost always when I had a little free time. After a short while I started to 'experiment', and discovered many new technics and patterns. It's really very easy to combine colours and patterns and as it showed, my imagination had no limits.
Even now, when I'm 'older', I still enjoy knotting! It became a hobby and also a business, because now I knot for giftshops. They seem to be a good present for friends and they can be used also as bookmarks, zipper pulls, hair ties, keychains, trouser ties, chokers, anklets, necklaces or headbands, all depending on their size.
