| A Beautiful Day I close my eyes to shut out the day To sit back and hear what nature will say So calm and peaceful, quiet yet loud No noise of the city, just nature's own crowd The chirp of the crickets, the coo of the doves The rustle of leaves, the bird's song of love The chatter of squirrels, the sight of a doe The patter of rain, in the end a rainbow Serenity true in nature's own way Thank you God for such a beautiful day |
| A Perfect Day Birds singing songs of joy, love, and happiness A soft flowing brook, bubbling peacefull and calm Trees, very powerful, yet yielding to our needs Children playing, laughing, uninhibited, innocent Cool morning grass between my toes The fresh crisp air on a spring morning, untainted The earth full of goodness and delight My senses are alive, welcoming, fulfilled The smell of apple pie on a cool fall day Watching the vivid displays the leaves put on for us The colors, the aroma, the brisk wind, the freshness The earth being reborn right in from of our eyes A mountain range, standing strong, fearless, majestic A light blanket of fog covers us for security, and warmth God's pallet coming alive with pleasure, exhileration For all to see, enjoy, basque, and take in The night falls upon us quickly, harmlessly, gently The stars, telling a million stories, adventures, and myths The moon sits quietly, discretely, watching And the dawn reminds us that life goes on perfectly |
