At times, a Game Master wants to able to drop little hints, clues, and misinformation into the game.  In standard roleplay, this is easily done with encounters with various typically throwaway NPC's.  The written format of this game makes that rather difficult at times, so I have come up with this page.  At various points in the game--typically around larger groups, I will post snippets of overheard conversations, public decrees, or someone's misplaced note with the time, the place, and a brief description of the surroundings.  They will run the gamut from being completely true to out & out lies.

There's talk that someone is buying up Frencian Marks and paying with New Aveon silver pennies at better than the going rate. Seems a dumb thing to do, throwing away money like that.

Two squadrons of Pursuer Knights rode in the other day. They've been hunting a band of marauders that have been sacking local villages. Of course, that makes no sense-them hunting simple bandits.

In cemeteries all over the west, the dead rose on evening of Good Friday. Parish priests and the like were running around like mad, trying to get them back in their holes. However, the higher ups in the Church are denying it even happened.

The local merchants jacked up the price for space at the Faire this year. They're taking a cut and forcing everyone to raise their prices to make a profit. They are making a pretty penny off the increase as well as the faire traffic. A lot of the Faire merchants aren't happy about it-particularly the New Aveoners.

The body of a girl child was found along the road to Tigreyton. Looked to have been attacked by wolves. Someone coming from Tigreyton said the same thing happened there last month.

Some of the local wives are having a snit about some of the 'entertainment' over at the Faire. Rumor has it that they are being led by the priest over at St. George's and he's only doing it to spite his rival at St. Vincents.

The WardColonel has promised to make an example of any rowdies caught thieving or causing havoc. Purportedly, his superiors have authorized him to levy corporal punishment rather than simple fines as he sees fit. Might be a few fellows short a hand by the end of summer.

Some of the drunks around here having been rambling on about seeing a flaming devil chicken flying about. Someone must have spiked some of the liquor at the fair.

The Three Rivers Inn has a shady reputation. There have been several thefts reported taking place there-usually in the middle of the night and from locked rooms.. The innkeeper says the place is being victimized by professionals, but the Wardens haven't been able to turn up anyone.

Bandits have been particularly bad this year. The humanoids are making travel through the Wilds even more dangerous than usual. The Barony of Hesse east of Three Rivers is dangerous as well although the bandits are the liege men of the previous baron.
