I BELIEVE
THERE IS TRUTH
I cannot say what it is
But it is.
I have known Truth.
There have been times and places and circumstances where the temporal, spatial and circumstantial have been inconsequential.
The eternal Truth has become clear to me, I have beheld it and lived in it.
I cannot prove this but I can appeal to the knowledge of Truth in everyone.
I cannot prove it because of the nature of rational proof.
This requires me to declare exactly what the Truth is and then show it to be true in a test situation.
But I may not do this.
The Truth is that which is everywhere, all the time.
These words are the words of this time and place.
There are no words that cannot be misunderstood.
Language is in flux and how I have come to understand the meaning of words is different to how others will understand them.
So I may not define the Truth in words.
When Jesus Christ was asked by Pilate,
"And what is Truth?"
there is no record of any verbal reply.
This was the rational test situation that Pilate attempted but was doomed to fail.
Herod also set up a test situation. He wanted to be shown physically the power of the Truth.
These are the tests of our time.
If we cannot see it physically or understand it rationally the Idea will be condemned to death.
As I write this a computer in the station has broken and the announcer is apologising for the lack of visual information yet I believe that the train is still coming. Yes. Here it is. First I hear it, and then I see it. Now I am getting into it.
Another reason for being unable to define the Truth is that it is still coming. There may be a lack of visual information but it is still coming.
THE TRUTH LIVES IN THE WORLD.
It is everywhere, all the time, while our knowledge of it is a living thing.
It is and becomes as a living thing lives and becomes.
ENLIGHTENMENT IS A PROCESS.
Rationalism cannot embrace the whole Truth.
It keeps records of the past and tests them in the present and projects possibilities into the future.
But it cannot collect the evidence that it needs from the future. And it is questionable whether it has evidence from the past or even the present.
While rationalism cannot capture the living Truth and materialism cannot put it on a plate that does not mean that it does not exist. The rationalist wants the Truth proved in the head and the materialist wants to touch it. Fair enough, but the Truth is bigger than that. The Truth is the Truth by virtue of it being True everywhere, all the time. There is no thing one can touch that will not change, no theory that may not have to be changed by the evidence of tomorrow.
But I have known Truth.
And because I have known Truth, I know that the Truth can be known, by anyone, anywhere, anytime.
How?
With one’s whole being.
One’s whole being can know the whole of Being.
I repeat that I cannot prove this but I can appeal to the knowledge of Truth in everyone.
In being whole, one is as the wholeness of Being, a revelation of the whole Truth.
In a moment of harmony, the past is revealed to have necessarily led to the present and the present opens up the whole of the future.
And in this moment of harmony the whole of Being embraces the past, present and future in a way that reveals the timeless Truth, that was, is, and shall be ever more.
The materialist need not be left out of this Truth. Quantum physics shows the whole ‘wave packet’ of matter to exist everywhere, all the time, manifesting in local condensations.
As for rationalism, the only rational thing to do is to abandon rationalism as a means of proving or defining the Truth and instead put itself to good use backing up the intuition of wholeness, which may
BEHOLD THE TRUTH
WITH THE EYE OF LOVE
For this is the way to be whole.
By loving every part.
How may one love every part?
Infinite ways.
Every part may need a unique kind of love.
And no words can express or describe the infinite variety of love.
Yet that is our task.
TO LOVE.
To love every part of the whole of Being.
BE WHOLE. BEHOLD. BELIEVE.
