Super Smash Bros. Melee
The anticipated sequel of Super Smash Bros. has hit the Gamecube, but does it deliver the second time around?
And the answer is... hell yeah! Let's take a look.

Stats:
Name: Super Smash Bros. Melee
Genre: Fighting
Console: Nintendo Gamecube
ESRB Rating: T (for teens)
Players: 1-4
Release Date: December 3, 2001

Graphics: 10
All 25 characters (14 main and 11 secret) are shown very accurately, from Mewtwo's cold demeanor, to Mr. Game & Watch's simplicity, to the Ice Climbers' ice attacks. Mario shoots a fireball, Pikachu and Pichu call on electricity, Bowser stomps on people, it's awesome. The stages are represented in their fullness, from Big Blue's moving scenery, the classic Mushroom Kingdom, and Fourside. And wait until you see the trophies...

Sound: 10
The remixes of the stages' music will blow you away. The main music has been given an edge this time around, whereas the main music in the old one was mysterious. Dr. Mario's Megavitamins make a classic sound, and Luigi's Green Missile attack actually sounds like a missile!

Gameplay: 9.9
Okay, there is definitely more gameplay and plot in this version, but I'm not going to spoil it by telling you. I already gave out five of the secret characters, and I will have some sort of guide ready.

Control: 10
The control has been improved upon its predecessor. Now, all the attacks, jumps, and conters will be excuted in perfect timing---provided you don't get attacked while trying to do so :) Now, you can even perfrom dodges as well as rolls! With it, you can mid-air dodge, too!

Replay Value: 10
You'll definitely want to play it over and over.

Overall Rating
: 9.95
This game is definitely better than its original.
