The forerunner of Positive Attitudes has been in existence for nine years. Frieda Saraga and Judy Higgison have been co-facilitators of the group since 1991.
Positive Attitudes meets each Tuesday evening from 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Every third Tuesday, a pot-luck social is held and group members are encouraged to bring a guest. All meetings are confidential.
Positive Attitudes encourages those facing the challenges of HIV/AIDS and supplements traditional health care with attitudinal healing.
Positive Attitudes allows people to connect with others facing similar life situations to learn that no one is alone. In an atmosphere of unconditional support and caring, each person is given the opportunity to learn from and help others. "As we help others, we help ourselves".

Judy is a Hospice volunteer and a Stephen Minister. In 1997 she was recipient of one of the Gay Pride awards for her work in the HIV/AIDS community. Her tireless commitment to the HIV/AIDS community through Positive Attitudes has enriched her life as well as the lives of many others.
"Thank you so much for the last several months I have been in the group. I have benefited from it in so many ways ... I will be forever grateful".
"It matters so much to me that you have the compassion and desire to do the important work that you are doing."
"Please know that your unconditional
love and worthwhile efforts in the group means so much, to so many people."
Attitudinal Healing supports
people in finding a different way of looking at life and approaching difficult
situations or relationships in a new way. Whether
it a woman with breast cancer, a grieving parent, a child with leukemia,
or a person with AIDS, each person in their own unique way explores this
approach for its potential to open them to moments of real inner peace
and to a deeper sense of joining with others. Attitudinal
Healing can facilitate a dramatic change in thinking, feeling and attitude,
and change a person's experience entirely, even in the face of extreme
circumstances.
