Les Savy Fav are perhaps the most thourougly enjoyable live band existing right now. One can practically be assured of zany hijinks galore attending one of their much publicized crazy as hell shows, even if at times things get out of hand (he's been known to cut off people's hair, and to...you know, teach them the difference between American and Japanese porn). Perhaps the only thing more amazing than there stage performance is how good the band actually is, and I'd say, in the parlance of my Northern California brothers, HELLA good. I, along with fellow Astro Train writers Bob Vielma and Mike Huguenor recently caught up with lead singer and lead CRAZY NICE MAN Tim Harrington after an awesome show at Slims, last Friday.

Astro Train: Hey, have you seen Lonesome Dove?

Tim Harrington: The movie...Cowboy movie? The mini -series?

AT: Yeah, about the cowboys, it is like the greatest story ever told.

TH: Yeah, no I've never seen it. My wife's always trying to get me to watch it.

AT: You should definitely watch it, it is awesome.

TH: It's swell?

AT: Totally swell. If you like cowboys.

TH: I like cowboys. You know the one I like is...Young Guns.

AT: Young Guns is totally tight. I watch that with all my bitches!

TH: Yeah, they love it, don't they? And then you can say, that guy's like me...Kind of. I kind of looked like one of those guys, the guy in the saloon. With the beard.

AT: Yeah, you kind of do. Anyway, good show, you guys were slice.
