Enforcer One was Bogga the Hutt's
military dreadnaught and the flagship of his space fleet, a vessel that
repeatedly demonstrated the Hutt's power and was responsible for many of
Bogga's great victories, including the raid on the Nematiec Gang asteroid
base and the capture of Finhead Stonbone's pirate ships. Commanded by Captain
Norufu, an enslaved near-human, the ship's home port was Bogga's palace
on Taboon's moon.
The Enforcer One was
a heavily modified Core Galaxy Systems dreadnaught originally designed
for planetary occupations. This type of ship normally used its turbolasers
to blast through planetary defence forces, then entered a planet's upper
atmosphere to allow its drop ships to deliver a planetary invasion force.
Bogga acquired this ship after it
had been decommissioned by the Republic and shipped to the salvage yards
on Ord Trasi. Even in its stripped-down state, the Enforcer One's
weapons and shields are still powerful. Captain Norufu had been known to
allow attackers the luxury of a few opening shots, believing that having
enemies watch their blasts disipate harmlessely would inspire terror.
The Enforcer One's main offensive weapon was a
fixed heavy turbolaser. The power core and laser barrel was modified with
experimental galven circuirtry to more tightly focus the beam and increase
the range.
Additional weapons included sixteen
laser cannons mounted on turrets, fast enough to accurately target small
fighters, although they lacked the punch to damage large capital ships.
Enforcer One also had four tractor-beam projectors; one of Norufu's favorite
tactics was to use the tractor beams to capture a ship and the haul it
around to point blank range for their heavy turbolaser. Bogga's dreadnaught
had an interior landing bay nearly three hundred meters long and a pair
of immense ship loading arms that could be used to pull captured ships
into the bay.
The ship carrierd six light tactical
fighters, which Bogga ended up replacing with alarming frequency. The Hutt's
pilots seldom received much training in fighter combat, and the Hutt considered
the ships expendable, too. Stonebone's gunners destroyed one of these ships
in an incident that killed the pilot, Dreebo. Demonstrating why he had
earned the title "the Merciful One," Bogga desided to withhold Dreedo's
service bonus and not charge Dreebo's home clan for the fighter's
replacement.
