Okay, I'll be the first one to share my testimonial with the new generation of Trench Wars. I was introduced to Subspace (what Continuum was called way back when) in October of 1999 by a friend of mine that plays. He came up to me one day and was like "Hey, have you ever heard of Subspace?" I said no, and he gave me a link to go to that I could download it. I went to the site when I got home that night and downloaded the game. I was instantly hooked. The game is so addicting lol. My first screen name for subspace was Speed123. My friend showed me the basics of Trench Wars. I thought this game was the coolest game ever. The first squad I was ever on was Dark Flames. I don't remember much about this squad, but it was fun while it lasted. The first league playing squad I was ever in was Elite Forcez. I wasn't in there squad for long, becasue after we lost a basing match I was squad kicked. Elite Forcez wasn't a good squad back then, but it was at one point. The top squads when I started playing were Elites, No Surrender, and Paladen, two of which are still around today. I think the first decent squad I was ever on was Silent Echo. That squad was cool when it was around. Unfortunately, the squad went through some problems after losing a few consecutive games. Members started leaving, and the squad leader just didn't wanna try anymore. Another squad that was decent way back when was *Destiny*. *Destiny* was a squad people could have fun in. We won many of the matches we played, sometimes against tougher and better squads. *Destiny* changed its name to +Dynasty+ after suffering a few losses to less experiuenced squads, and to ForReaL after +Dynasty+. ForReaL was one of my all time favorite squads. The leader, AzN _SnIpEr as an awesome squad leader, but unfortunately he had to attend college and went inactive, and the squad fell apart. He gave me ownership of it, and left. I tried to revive ForReaL, but it was too dead, so I too, gave up. There was one other time I tried to revive ForReaL. It wasn't the best squad, but at least we were having fun. I went inactive for a few days for personal matters and came home to 1/3 of the roster I had, so I dissolved. I never trtied again after that. I ended up giving ownersip back to AzN_SnIpEr when he returned. The next major squad that I was in was No Surrender. No Surrender had gone inactive since the time they were top noch in Trench, and were looking to come back to active status. Being accepted to No Surrender was a big goal for me. I was in a squad that was once top of their game in Trench, and were respected. Not too long after being accept, my computer crashed, and I went for three months without a computer, going to a relatives house just to use one. When
I got my new one, I became active once again, and had a blast in No Surrender. Another squad I tried really hard to get into wasa Paladen. I tried for two years to get into this squad. Finally one day I got my call. I was a little reluctant to leave No Surrender in the begining, because I really liked the members of that squad, but I couldn't turn down an offer that I've waited for for 2 years. I've been in Paladen ever since, and am very glad to finally settle down in a great squad. There is a lot more about my history that I haven't shared. I'll have to write it in when I have more time. |
