Information about the region

The land is 990m2 large and is about 120 km in the South of Lisbon and 7 km from the sea. The house is located in small village " 7540 Sao Francisco de Serra" in the region called Alentejo. On the map Southwest from Grandola and East from Santiago do Cacem.

The very friendly climat of the region is influenced by the Golf stream on the Atlantic ocean, the huge beaches and the peacfull nature. The people here are very tolerent and very friendly. You can find very healthy food, traditional grilled fish, good wine, strong coffee, etc...

The country side has small hills, and forest. 2 Km from the house there is a speedway connection and 20 km there is a highway to Lisbon and Faro. Lisbon is only 1 houre by car. There are many possibilities to shop (supermarkets) in 15 Km around. But also dayly market with fresh vegetables and fruits.

The beach is near, 14-18km by road but only 7km (flight line). 15 Km from from the house, Santiago do Cacem, a new hospital is going to be opened nextly, Sines with its is 30 km away.

Alentejo has been protected from the damages caused by tourism like we see in the Algarve and that makes this region very interesting.
