Writing, Umm… No

To be honest, I absolutely dread writing. I would rather walk on my eyebrows then write an essay. No offence to any English teachers in the room, but writing essays or writing in general is a very difficult task for me. If the subject of the writing is on something that is of no interest to me then I would hate every second of it. A topic that interest me won’t take me as long but I still wouldn’t enjoy it. Don’t get me wrong, I know that writing in general is extremely necessary for the everyday life but I would really enjoy just saying it instead.

When I heard about expository writing and what the course is made of I new that I would somewhat enjoy it. I heard that all the writing that we will do is based on writing about ourselves. All the ideas and information that will be written is coming from ourselves and not from a book. Then when I heard that Ms. Gokturk is the teacher, I was even more excited about the class cause she is my favorite teacher in the world.

For as long as I can remember I have always hated writing, I seemed to try and cheat the system by counting down each and every word just to pass the number count. Or maybe even having my mother help me write the essay cause frankly she is really good at it. There was only one occurrence of a writing assignment where I cheated and plagiarized on it. I took information from the computer and though that it was ok to use it in my essay. And of coarse I got caught and had to face the consequences. I almost got kicked out of the course and practically lost the trust of a nice teacher, but I learned from that and can truthfully say that I will never plagiarize again, on a research paper.
