I can teach you to draw
portraits like the Masters
Tone is generally thought of as shadow.  Beginners always begin their portrait drawings by first drawing an outline then filling in the shadows bit-by-bit, usually starting with an eye and growing outwards.  Inevitably the result is a flat mish-mash of incohesive darks and lights.

In this two-part lesson I will show you the proper method of building your tones for portrait drawing.  Beginning with the arabesque, which is the whole outside shape of the head, we will proceed step-by-step to the finished drawing.

The December issue is available now. To receive the first installment of this two-part less subscribe to
the Drawing Newsletter. Just send me an email.

We never ever sell, rent, give out or lend your personal information that you send to us.  Heck, you don't even hear from us that often except to send you a free drawing lesson on the first of the month.  And if you never ever want to hear from us again just let us know.  We honor all unsubscribes.
