Here is a tentative schedule: 1. 10/15 2. 10/29 3. 11/12 4. 11/26 5. 12/10 Richard Rusczyk visiting, ending later 6. 12/17 7. 1/14 8. 1/21 Team Selection Test 9. 1/28 Scrimmage and Party 10. 2/11 Team Practice 11. 3/11 State Prep The sessions will take place at: ...Magnolia Science Academy ...18238 Sherman Way ...Reseda, CA 91335 (Parking is in the rear. If you have problems finding the place, call 818-571-2353) MathCounts sessions are from 1 pm ~ 3 pm, and will be separated into 2 groups � Experienced and Less-Experienced. Each session will start with a lecture on specific topics followed by a short test related to those topics. While the tests are being graded, the solutions to the test will be explained in details. A short homework assignment will be given bi-weekly and solutions will be provided to those who submit answers. With the more succinct session format, VMC sees no need for a snack plan. However, each member is welcome to bring his/her own snack but must then accept the responsibility to be tidy. Registration forms will be available on the date of the first session. Members are encouraged to register beforehand (email us at ValleyMathCircle@aol.com). We accept donations to help cover the cost of materials, supplies, expenses, and the cost and prizes for special events. Feel free to inquire about that when you register. Hope to see you all there!
