The saga of the Russian mail order bride continues...
So I believe as of recently, I was disinclined to believe that Anna is a mail order bride. But I ran into her at the gym last night, and got pieces of her story in her adorable broken English. Basically she met her husband 1.5 years ago in Russia (I bet he was wife hunting). They got married a couple months ago; she just moved here 6 months ago. She is 21 (younger than I thought) and he is 35 (ew ew yuck). She couldn't speak English until she moved here (aha - that is the clincher). I have no idea how they communicated. So essentially, she is a mail order bride of sorts, but not like the ones on the internet. She and her husband live in Twin Peaks (Maryann was right about seeing him on her bus before). And she finds San Francisco "boring", which I was surprised about. I've heard it described as "small", "beautiful", etc. but never as boring. But, in some ways, I can see how it can be. I know I get bored here sometimes.
Anyways, my fantasies of sweeping her away from her husband have dissipated; I don't think she is gay. And I can't really talk to her like a friend until her english gets better. But, she still is a fun distraction for me.

Can anyone tell me how you can tell if someone likes you? Not "likes" you, but "likes you likes you." Sometimes I meet a girl and I think she's interested (the signs are there), but then it turns out she's only a nice person. But then it's like, for me, if I don't kiss someone the first night then nothing more than friendship ever materializes out of it. If you talk to a new friend almost everyday, sometimes for 1 -2 hours, does that mean anything more than excitement over a new friend? What if there is no action, only talk? Any advice would be great.
I really get excited over new friends. I love them.
I had dinner with my friend Rachel last night, and noticed that she has amazing standing posture. I want amazing standing posture! I think it exudes so much more confidence and just looks better. So next time you see me slouching like I usually do, give me a shove and tell me to straighten up.

Sleep deprivation is a constant state for me. I can't remember the last time I went to work on Monday feeling well-rested. But as Sully puts it "You can sleep when you're dead."
