William Westbrook was born 5 Feb 1786 in Franklin County Georgia, son of Stephen Westbrook and Anphillady Hudson. He married Mary Polly Goodnight (born 7 Oct 1787). William Westbrook and Mary Polly Goodnight had the following children:

  1. Gilliam H. Westbrook born 12 July 1807 in Franklin Co., GA; married Cynthia Hall 13 Sep 1830 in Blount Co., AL
  2. Martha Wellabory Westbrook born 6 Nov 1809 in Franklin Co., GA
  3. William Albert Westbrook born 31 Mar 1811 in Franklin Co., GA; married first Annis "Amy" Johnson; married second Amanda Gunn
  4. Joshua H. Westbrook born 6 May 1812 in Franklin Co., GA
  5. Lucy Anphillady Westbrook born 8 Mar 1817 in Franklin Co., GA
  6. Arminda Westbrook born 3 Sap 1819 Franklin Co., GA; married L.D. Allen 7 March 1833 in Lowndes County, MS





William Albert Westbrook was born 31 March 1811 in Franklin County Georgia. He married March 8, 1835 in Lowndes County, Mississippi, to Annis (Amy) Johnson. Annis was born about 1813 in Tennessee and died between 1850 - 1856 in Mississippi. William A. Westbrook and Annis Johnson had the following children:

  2. Jasper Westbrook born about 1841 in Lowndes County, MS
  3. Adason Westbrook born about 1843 in MS
  4. William Washington Westbrook born about 1845 in Lowndes County, MS; married Mary Catherine Long about 1869; died 1881 in Hinds Co., MS
  5. Emily Westbrook born about 1846 in MS
  6. Ervin Westbrook born about 1848 in MS






William Albert Westbrook married second to Amanda Gunn born about 1831 in Alabama. William Albert Westbrook and Amanda Gunn had the following children:

  1. Norman W. Westbrook born August 1858 in Smith County, MS; married Lucindy about 1883
  2. Theodosia Westbrook born about 1861 in Smith Co., MS
  3. Issalee Westbrook born about 1863 in Smith Co., MS

  5. George Westbrook born January 1868 in Smith Co., MS; married Callie about 1888

William Washington Westbrook was born about 1845 in Lowndes County, Mississippi. He married Mary Catherine Long about 1869 in Smith Co., MS, and died in 1881 in Hinds Co., MS. Mary Catherine Long was born January 5, 1854 in Newberry, SC, the daughter of Thomas Calvin Long and Rosannah Shumpert. Mary Catherine Long died August 23, 1929, in Memphis, TN. The children of William Washington Westbrook and Mary Catherine Long are as follows:

  1. Silas Westbrook born about 1870 in Smith Co., MS
  2. Elmma A. Westbrook born August 16, 1873, in Smith Co., MS; died January 8, 1897 in Flora, Madison Co., MS
  3. Sarah Catherine Westbrook (my great-grandmother) was born January 20, 1879, in Hinds County, MS. She married in 1897 to Ancy Price James in Flora, MS. Sarah Catherine Westbrook died March 28, 1968, in Memphis, TN. The picture at the top of this page is of Sarah Catherine and Ancy Price James on their 50th wedding anniversary.
