Room Mates Part 19 By Morticia

For a moment, the Doctor, Tuvok and Harry were frozen by a combination of embarrassment, horror and complete fascination as Tom Paris and Chakotay materialised on the Sickbay floor. The pair seemed completely oblivious to both their change of surroundings and their audience.

"Maybe we should just leave them as they are, Tuvie," Harry whispered, licking his lips. "They certainly don't seem bothered by the mind link."

Tuvok's usually expressionless face curled into a sly smile as he watched Tom's orgasmic throes. Both Tom and Chakotay certainly seemed to be enjoying themselves, in fact Chakotay's hungry slurping was definitely having an inspirational effect on his own groin.

He looked at Harry's glistening lips and felt his blood surge back into fever mode as he imagined them wrapped around his own cock. He took a step towards Harry and the ensign quivered at the heat in his T'hy'la's eyes. He giggled at the image that Tuvok sent him and began to sink welcomingly to his knees.

"Okay, that's enough," The Doctor snapped, "That's MORE than enough. Pull yourselves together, this is a sickbay, not a bordello. Commanders, COMMANDERS!"

"Wha-?" Chakotay slurred around Tom's cock, his eyes flying open. He jerked suddenly to attention, realising he was now in the middle of sickbay.

The removal of his hot caress was enough to make Tom groan in disappointment, open his eyes, and then shoot backwards on his butt and cover his groin with his hands.

"Oh, SHIT! Oh, FUCK!" he cried, his face scarlet.

Harry scrambled back to his feet, his naked butt exposed by the now ripped surgical gown, as Tuvok wrenched himself away from his T'hy'la's mouth and furtively tried to thrust his engorged cock back into his trousers.

Chakotay leant forward and gave Tom a vicious pinch on his left thigh.

"OWWWWW! What did you do THAT for, you bastard?" Tom howled.

"In case this was just a bad dream," Chakotay muttered.

"You're supposed to pinch YOURSELF, you idiot."

"Oh," Chakotay said, "I'd better kiss it better." He dove back onto Tom.

"THAT'S IT!" The Doctor snapped, "Security to Sickbay. Medical emergency."

"I want an explanation, Tuvok, and it had damned well better be a good one," Kathryn Janeway demanded.

She was wrapped in a thick robe, and propped up in bed by several pillows, yet still her presence dominated as she held an impromptu senior staff meeting in her bedroom.

"It was the kali-farr, somehow it went wrong. It appears that I have inadvertently bonded Tom and Chakotay too. This is most embarrassing, Captain."

"You mean you're a foursome?" Kathryn demanded, her eyes huge as she looked at her Senior Officers.

B'Elanna choked.

"No, Captain. My T'hy'la and I are joined to each other. Unfortunately, so are Commander Chakotay and Mr. Paris."

"Is this true, Chakotay?" Kathryn demanded furiously, aware of a huge pang of jealousy.

"Certainly not, Kathryn," Chakotay replied indignantly. "I admit that I might have been a little carried away in sickbay, but I DID think I was in my own quarters and I admit I WAS intimate with Tom, but that's hardly the same as being bonded to him."

"Tom, is this true?" Kathryn demanded.

"Yeah, sure. I mean he's a sexy guy, but he IS a guy, right? I mean I don't do that kind of thing, do I?" Tom replied with a casual grin.

"Thank god for that," Kathryn replied. "You obviously misread the situation, Mr. Tuvok. Can we please revert to some normality around here now?"

"Of course, Captain," Chakotay replied smoothly. He turned to Tom, "No hard feelings?"

"None, Commander," Tom replied and took his outstretched hand and shook it.

Their eyes met.

"TOM" Chakotay gasped.

"CHAKOTAAAAAAAAAAAAY!"

"SECURITY!" Kathryn yelled into her comm badge as Tom and Chakotay hit the deck, humping wildly and clawing at each other's uniforms.

"So it IS blood fever?" B'elanna asked, understanding only too well how THAT felt.

"In addition to my inadvertent creation of the mind-link, it is logical to assume that when I touched Tom in the first stages of my ponn farr, I also infected him with the plak tow, the blood fever as you call it. As a human, he would not have been overtly affected, but with the addition of the Kali-farr, the fever must now be resolved. It would appear that Mr Paris and the Commander have not yet mated."

"So, every time they physically touch each other they are going to be overcome by the urge to mate until they actually HAVE mated?" Kathryn demanded.

"Yes," Tuvok admitted.

"So what's the problem?" B'Elanna asked, "Why don't we just leave them to it and let them get it out of their system?"

"If they mate, they will re-inforce the mind-link," Tuvok admitted.

"So what? I mean they already ARE in a relationship, aren't they?" B'Elanna asked.

"Are they?" Kathryn asked Harry pointedly.

"Um, well, Tom said they weren't," Harry admitted.

"EVERYONE knows they've been bonking like rabbits for weeks," B'Elanna scoffed.

"Ahem," the Doctor interrupted. "I don't want to be indelicate, but I CAN confirm that in the course of my medical examination of Mr Paris, after security took him back to sickbay, I discovered that he has never engaged in that manner of sexual activity."

"Well he wouldn't have, would he? It's not Tom who wears the women's underwear," B'Elanna replied knowingly.

"The what?" Kathryn gasped, all fantasies of Chakotay's manly possession of her body flying out of the nearest airlock.

"That would explain it," The Doctor said thoughtfully.

"Can't we just ask them what they want to do?" Harry queried.

"At this stage, I don't believe they are capable of rational judgement," the Doctor stated.

"Well, there's only one answer, Mr Tuvok. You have to remove the mind- link BEFORE they mate," Kathryn said decisively.

"There's a problem with that, Captain," Tuvok replied.

"I don't understand. I know it is possible. Your link with T'Pel has gone. Come to think of it, Sarek was married three times, it must be possible to leave a link behind and move on."

"It is, Captain. We call it the p'pil'lay. It is necessary because of the extreme longevity of our people. We usually outlive our mates if they are from other species and even amongst ourselves it is rare for a couple to choose to live together past the time of child-rearing. Vulcans live several centuries, few relationships survive such a long time."

"So what's the problem?"

"There's no going back. Once a mind-link is severed it cannot be rejoined."

"I can't imagine Tom and Chakotay worrying about that, Tuvok. It is not considered a necessary part of human relationships."

"It is more complicated than that, Captain. Should the mind-link be severed, it is highly improbable that ANY relationship could be maintained between them. The p'pil'lay is a mourning, a severing as final as death. After the kali-farr is severed, NO emotion is left between the bonded couple."

"So they can never return to their prior relationship?" B'Elanna gasped.

"If they even HAVE a relationship," Kathryn reminded her.

"How can we know? There are so many rumors about them, it's impossible to tell," Harry asked.

"We could always check Chakotay's lingerie," B'Elanna sniggered.
