My Port Charles Cast Update Page

Updated November 1, 2005

Editing the PC Links Page, I frequently saw questions about what various PC cast members are doing now that Port Charles is no longer filming. The answer is that they're working! They've gotten lots of acting jobs. This page is intended to update you on the actors and give you a guide to which ones are on screen now. Unfortunately, I no longer have time to update this page on a regular basis, so I will leave it up for the links and information I did have on hand as of November 2005.

How to Find PC Stars on TV

I'll share how I would research this if I had the time. There are frequent appearances by many PC stars each month. Keep an eye on the major PC boards linked on the PC Links Page for upcoming guest star shots. The Angels and Roses board is particularly good for this. The Lifetime Movie Network and the Sci-Fi Network almost always rerun at least one movie a month with a PCer in it, so it's worth checking their schedules. Finally, some PC actors and actresses are listed on the TV now Stars on TV site, so you can get detailed information on when projects they were in are being rerun. And if I do run across something, I'll put it up under Breaking News.

Regularly Appearing On TV as of November 2005

Complete with my opinions! :) Links go to a description of their new role or the official site of the show.

Jed Allan (Ed) now stars as Edward Quartermaine on ABC's General Hospital.
IMO: I loved him on PC and on Days. I don't think he's right for Edward Quartermaine. But he's a good actor.

Kimberlin Brown (Dr. Rachel Locke) just left One Life to Live as Paige Miller and is back on Young and the Restless as crazy Sheila.

Ian Buchanan (Joshua Temple) now appears as Dr. Greg Madden on All My Children.

Pat Crowley (Mary Scanlon Collins) appears as Natalie DeWitt on Bold and the Beautiful.

Michael Dietz (Dr. Joe Scanlon #1)now recurs very occasionally as Dr. Mark MacLaine on the Bold and the Beautiful.

Michael Easton (Caleb Morley) stars on ABC's One Life to Live as John McBain.
IMO: I tried this soap just for him. The character is very different from Caleb, as he's a good cop instead of a charismatic rock star/vampire. He does a good job with it. Unfortunately he is stuck with a couple of lame leading lady actresses and you're not going to see the chemistry that Caleb/Livvie had.

Brian Gaskill (Rafe Kovich) has been cast on CBS's As the World Turns as an ex-boyfriend of the character Katie. He is supposed to start late September.
This sounds like a meaty role and hopefully he'll have better luck on ATWT than he did on B&B. ATWT is very smart hiring all these PC stars!

Thorsten Kaye (Ian Thornhart) stars on ABC's All My Children as Zachary Slater.

Mitch Longley (Dr. Matt Harmon) now has recurring roles both on CBS's Joan of Arcadia and on NBC's Las Vegas.

Kaitlyn Maggio (Christina) will be part of a new Disney Channel cartoon called Romper Rangers.

Kent Masters-King (Imani) has just landed a new role on General Hospital as a psychologist.

Kelly Monaco (Livvie Locke Morley) stars on ABC's General Hospital as Sam McCall.
IMO: I liked her better as Livvie. Sam isn't as evil as Livvie, and evil is what Kelly Monaco seemed to do best acting wise.

Debbi Morgan (Dr. Ellen Burgess) is appearing again as a judge in Soapnet's I Wanna Be a Soapstar 2.

Wayne Northrop (Rex Stanton) is returning to his old stomping grounds on Days of our Lives (but not in his old role of Roman since another guy is playing that role now).

Ion Overman (Gabriella Garza) is appearing on the new UPN comedy, Love Inc, Thursdays this Fall.

Julie Pinson (Eve Lambert Collins Thornhart) stars on NBC's Days of Our Lives as Billie Reed.
IMO: The problem with Eve was that she started out cool and ended up, partly through poor acting choices by Pinson, to be wimpy and simpy. Having watched Days for years and Billie as well, I know that Billie is supposed to be wimpy, simpy and annoying. So Pinson fits the role pretty well and unlike with Eve, doesn't annoy me because she's playing the character the way it's supposed to be played. She has no chemistry with the guy who plays Bo, but that's OK because fans wouldn't want her to have any with him, Bo belongs with Hope!

Kin Shriner (Scotty Baldwin) debuted February 3 on CBS's As the World Turns as Keith. Here's an article on this new role from the New York Daily News.

Marie Wilson (Karen Wexler) now stars as Meg Snyder on CBS's As the World Turns.
IMO: I used to watch ATWT in the late 80s when it was at its best, and Meg was one of my favorite characters, so it's good news to hear that ATWT is bringing her back. She was a spunky late teens troublemaker when she came on ATWT and then settled down but never lost the spunk. Kind of a Alison Barrington merged with Reba type. So far I think Marie is doing perfect as Meg. Once again, Marie makes for a geat recast!
