January 31, 2003 MASSAGE TERRIERS LOSE TIGHT ONE IN HAPPY ROCK
     The skid continues as Gladstone outlasted Portage 6-5 in PVMHL action in Gladstone. Jesse Toth led Gladstone with 3 goals and Lyndon Soper scoring twice. Terriers got a hat trick from Robby Moar and singles from Taylor Fingas and Chad Miller. Brent Schellenberg picked up an assist in the loss. Kyle McGibney played well in goal for Portage.

January 29, 2003 TERRIER 4 AGAIN HAVE WAY WITH MASSAGERS
     The Portage Atom 4 Terriers again beat the Terrier #3 club 7-4 in league action at the arena Wednesday night. Kyle Case led the #4 attack with 2 goals and Ryan Laing had a goal and 2 assists. Brenden Brydges, Bryce Cook, Greg Davey and Cole Brydges also scored. Brent Schellenberg had 2 goals and an assist while Robby Moar scored once along with 1 assist. Chad Miller also scored as the Massage Terriers dropped their 3rd straight league game.

January 26, 2003 LOST WEEKEND CONTINUES
     The Allyson Giffin Massage Therapy Terriers again allowed a team to come to town and score 6 times in the final stanza. Cartwright blew open a tight game and roared to an 11-6 win. Brent Schellenberg scored 4 times, Robby Moar scored twice and added 2 assists while Grant McDonald chipped in with a pair of assists. Kyle McGibney received little help from his teammates as the Terriers fell further into the bottom of the league standings.

January 25, 2003 TERRIERS TROUNCED BY ALTONA
     The Terrier #3 squad resumed league action with the tilt in Portage but the coaches forgot to tell the players and Altona creamed Portage 9-1. Altona scored 6 times in the final 10 minutes to hammer down the victory. Brent Schellenberg scored from Robby Moar in the only bright spot for the Terriers.

January 18-19, 2003 TERRIERS KIDS REACH FINAL IN STONY MOUNTAIN
     A blizzard delayed the start of the weekend tournament but by the time everyone made it to Stony Mountain the boys were ready to play. Terriers opened up with a 12-1 victory over Southdale in the Saturday afternoon match-up. Robby Moar and Chad Miller each had a hat trick and 2 assists. Taylor Fingas and Brent Schellenberg each had a goal and 2 assists. Jacob Moat had 2 goals and Cameron Mulder had a goal and an assist. Foss Giffin had a goal and Jordan Williams, Cameron Mulder, Grant McDonald and Jeremy Dufresne all had single assists. Game 2 late that night proved a different story. Although the Terriers played hard and Kyle McGibney played well in net the Terriers couldn't match the East Selkirk Sabres and lost a 14-2 decision. Brent Schellenberg had a goal and an assist and Robby Moar had a goal in the late night contest. Terriers opened up Sunday with a 6-1 victory over the Stonewall Blues to reach the Sunday night final. Brent Schellenberg scored 4 times for Portage with Moar and Fingas scoring once. Cameron Mulder and Jacob Moat earned assists. The finals came and saw Portage matched up with East Selkirk again and with a carbon copy of the first encounter East Selkirk skated away with the game and the gold with a 5-2 victory. Robby Moar and Chad Miller scored for the Terriers with Cam Mulder, Foss Giffin and Taylor Fingas earning single assists.

January 11, 2003 TERRIERS GET REVENGE IN CARMAN
     The Allyson Giffin Massage Therapy Terriers evened the score with Carman as they cruised to a 10-4 victory in Carman. Chad Miller led the assault with 3 goals and 2 assists. Brent Schellenberg also had a hat trick with an assist. Nathan Bridges broke out with a 2 goal performance and Taylor Fingas added a single tally. Robby Moar (4) Jeremy Dufresne and Cameron Mulder all got assists. Kyle McGibney played very well in net for Portage. Jordan Williams was ejected from the game on a controversial call by the referee.

January 10, 2003 PORTAGE #3 LOSE TO CARMAN
     The Allyson Giffin Massage Therapy Terriers lost a wild 10-9 shootout to the Carman squad. Terriers held a big advantage in the play but Carman showed the know how to win. Brent Schellenberg (3G-2A) and Taylor Fingas (3G-1A) each had hat tricks. Chad Miller had 2 goals to go with a single assist. Robby Moar had a goal and 5 assists while Grant McDonald picked up a single helper. Kyle McGibney was in net for the losers.

January 5, 2003 TERRIERS TRAVEL TO GRETNA TO PLAY ALTONA GOLD
     The Allyson Giffin Massage Therapy Terriers battled to a 8-8 tie with the Altona Gold Maroons in Gretna. Altona held a 4-1 lead after the first but the Terriers (playing their 5th game of the weekend) clawed their way back to earn the tie. Brent Schellenberg had all guns blazing as he scored twice and helped out on three others for a 5 point night. Robby Moar had three goals and an assist while Taylor Fingas (2g), Chad Miller (1g-1a) and Grant McDonald found the scoresheet. Altona received 6 of 11 minors while Terrier netminder Kyle McGibney again turned in a game star type performance.

January 4, 2003 TERRIERS WIN ROSENORT TOURNEY
     The AGMT Terriers travelled to Rosenort for a tournament and came home with gold medals. Terriers opened up the tourney with a 8-3 victory over Niverville. Taylor Fingas dominated this game with a goal and three assists. Kyle McGibney allowed a goal in each period to earn the win. Chad Miller, Foss Giffin and Robby Moar all scored 2 goals. Brent Schellenberg had a goal and an assist while Cameron Mulder, Jacob Moat and Jordan Williams chipped in with single helpers. Game 2 of the tournament was a little tougher as Portage met a team from McDonald. The 1st period ended in a 1-1 tie and the Terriers outscored their foes 4-2 in the final two periods. Robby Moar collected a hat-trick and Brent Schellenberg (1G-1A) and Taylor Fingas also scored. Jordan Williams, Grant McDonald and Chad Miller added single assists. In the gold medal final Portage whipped Morris-St.Jean 8-4. Brent Schellenberg scored 6 times with Robby Moar and Taylor Fingas (1G-4A) adding single tallies. Grant McDonald had a single assist and Chad Miller had 2. Kyle McGibney earned all 3 wins in the net for the Terriers.

January 3, 2003 TERRIERS EARN 1ST LEAGUE WIN
     The Allyson Giffin Massage Therapy Terriers earned their first league victory with a 9-2 win over the Terrier 2 (Blights) club. The Massage Terriers held period leads of 2-0 and 3-0 before outscoring their opponents 6-2 in the final 20 minutes. Taylor Fingas (3g-2a), Brent Schellenberg (3g-1a), Robby Moar (1g-2a), Chad Miller (1g), Jacob Moat (1g), Grant McDonald (1a) and Nathan Bridges (1a) all found their way to the score sheet. Dillon Vrooman, Jordan Williams, Cameron Mulder (2pim), and Kyle McGibney all shone defensively for the winners. Shane Dewis and Doug Lawrence scored for Blights who took 3 of 4 minor penalties.
