Welcome to Ms. J. L. Ford's Site

"If you can speak it, you can write it. If you can write it, you can read it."

From your parents you learn love and laughter and how to put one foot before the other. But when books are opened you discover that you have wings.

The least expensive education is to profit from the mistakes of ourselves and others.

PARENT'S CORNER---To improve the reading skills of your children, do the following regularly: read aloud to your children; buy books for birthdays and holidays; go on trips beyond the neighborhood so that everyone is exposed to new experiences; make regular use of the library; let your children see you reading regularly from a variety of books, magazines and newspapers; play word games and other learning activities; encourage your children to write notes and letters to you about their daily experiences; encourage your children to read for pleasure every day.

READ EVERYDAY FOR 30 MINUTES.
