These pictures I took on a walk up into the foothills of the rockies. Here, I leave the plains behind at 5,000 ft and head up toward 7,000 ft toward the continental divide. Two are of a particularly striking forest understory. Some have mentioned The Lord of the Rings in regards to these. The third is two elk, a buck and a doe, I disturbed from an afternoon nap as I clunked downhill, tripod on my shoulder, through open mountainside woodland. It's a big photo that you may like to view with a program that has a zoom feature. |
