Along with season 5, season 7 is arguably the one of the greatest seasons. No new characters are introduced, and no new plots or sets, either. But there were a few serious changes in it. Jack and Rachel, the couple resulting in the Jack-Rachel-Eric love triangle, has broken up peacefully. Topanga officially dumps Cory to start the season, claiming love cannot exist because her parents separated. Angela still resists Shawn's attempts to woo her, what else is new?

So, Cory and Shawn venture to Pittsburgh to reconnect Topanga's parents to save their relationships with Topanga and Angela. They fail, but Shawn and Angela reconsile when Angela's father comes to town (in "Angela's Men"), and a speech from Topanga's parents reunite Cory and Topanga for the final time (in "
No Such Thing As A Sure Thing"). Cory and Topanga then get married, and have issues with their apartment because it's bad (in "The Honeymoon is Over"), but work it out quickly (in "Picket Fences"). So, yeah, all is well

Things run smoothly for the final half of the year. There's no continuous arcs that effect each episode, just minor issues that are resolved episode by episode. It's not until "
Angela's Ashes" that things begin the change, and the changes snowball. Angela's father comes to town, inviting Angela to join him in Europe for a year. She does, Angela leaves, and Topanga announces she must go to New York for a prestigious internship. She, Cory, Shawn, and Eric all leave for NY in the series finale "Brave New World," and Jack and Rachel decide to join the Peace Corps. That's it, show over.

The cast was begged to do an eighth season earlier on in the year, but it never materialized. Actually, it was thought it might end after "Seven the Hard Way," but it still continued on till the end. I guess we can be happy that such a great show ran for seven years.

Best season episodes: "Angela's Men," "
Seven the Hard Way," and "Brave New World."
