Season two is a huge step forward from season 1, yet still far behind the best years of Boy Meets World. For those not of romanic heart, season two is often considered the best seasons before being "spoiled" by the Cory/Topanga relationship. I am not one of those, but I still enjoy this seasons.

The universe of the show expands this season, as well. Cory is given nemisises in the form of three bullies, Harley Keiner, Frankie "The Enforcer" Steccino, and Joey "The Rat" Epstein. Their relationship with not only Cory, but Shawn, Eric, and Feeny create many a laugh. Also, the new, cool teacher, Mr. Turner, is introduced. He rides a bike. He wears leather jackets. He's cool, unlike Feeny, but is never short of a lesson. As the season develop, the boys and Turner create a bond closer to friendship than teacher/student.

This is the season where an overall arc begins to develop within the show. Relationships between characters are beginning to bud. The Cory and Topanga relationship is prefixed much more clearly in episodes such as "The Thrilla' in the Phila'," "
Wake Up, Little Cory," and "Fear Strikes Out." Cory and Topanga aren't yet a couple, but they are friends.

Shawn's season arc doesn't develop until late, "Career Day," actually. It is a two-episode arc where Shawn is finally given some serious air time. His mother leaves, and his father chases after her, leaving Shawn briefly with the Matthews ("Career Day") and ultimately staying with Mr. Turner ("
Home"). This sets up a serious arc for Turner and Shawn in the following season.

Best Season Episodes: "
Home," "Who's Afraid of Cory Wolf?," "Band on the Run," and "Breaking Up is Really, Really, Really Hard to Do."
