| When we were in Oxford in January, we spotted posters for a benefit performance by Vladimir Ashkenazy with the Oxford Philharmonic. We stopped by the theatre and managed to get tickets, so we came back to Oxford two weeks later. Great concert! The irony is that we didn't know at the time that we'd end up in Prague less than two weeks later -- and Ashkenazy is the conductor of the Czech Philharmonic there. Small world! |
