To start the day, some of us made our way out for a little sightseeing. We started at the Dublin Castle, where Heather made some friends by telling the local kids about the MTV party in Temple Bar. We then wandered into the Dublin City Hall, with its beautiful dome ceiling and the city coat of arms ("happy is the city where the citizens obey"). Were they telling us something?...
Next up was the Christchurch Cathedral, and a chance to meet the house cat. I don't know if this one is related to the mummified one that they discovered behind the organ, along with the rat it was chasing! (circa 1860... ) And finally, some shots from St. Patrick's Cathedral. After this, it was time for lunch - and Guinness! |
