PFT News, Loyalty Bay

As news of the boycott by the nation of World Cup 26 was broadcasted yesterday, the entire city of Loyalty Bay seemed to respond in unison.

On radio phone in shows, television sports shows, and on the streets everyone was talking about the decision to remove the nation from probably the most known sporting event in the world.

'Ridiculous', claimed more than one angry pedestrian as fans clamored to vent their anger at the decision.

Meanwhile in the neighbourhood of Pleasantview, riot police were deployed after cars were overturned and fires set as residents rioted in response to the news of the boycott.

One irate resident who had his car torched in the process of the rioting exclaimed afterwards, 'if the d*** government knew they were going to do this they should have at least put police on the streets before they announced it, them Locke Harbourites are so thick'.

Police were able to quickly disperse rioters however insurance appraisers were busy this morning assessing the damage.

Representatives of the Loyalty Bay based governing body of football noted in an interview early this morning that, 'the reaction by hooligan elements in the neighbourhood of Pleasantview is not reflective of the nation as a whole.  Even these elements in the past few days were noting that again questionable calls were being made against our squad.  Therefore to preserve our good name we have pulled our nation from this event for the time being.'

Riot police, out in force in Loyalty Bay last night.
